Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bleaching agent having high bleaching effect, having no pungent odor, excellent in user-friendliness and especially effective to a hard surface by including a specific organic peroxide and a specific ingredient. SOLUTION: This bleaching agent is obtained by including (A) an organic peroxide of formula I [wherein A is a (hydroxyl group-substituted) 1-9C alkyl, amino, a (hydroxyl group-substituted)benzene ring or the like; R1 is H or a (hydroxyl group-substituted) 1-5C, alkyl and; (n) is 1-10] so as for its concentration to be >=1 wt.% (preferably 1-20 wt.%) when dissolved in water and (B) 0.001-20 wt.% (preferably 0.01-10 wt.%) at least one kind selected from the group consisting of a monoterpene hydrocarbon, a sesquiterpene hydrocarbon, a monoterpene alcohol, a sesquiterpene alcohol and a 7-10C aromatic alcohol and, if necessary, (C) 0.01-90 wt.% (preferably 0.1-85 wt.%) alkalizing agent. The ingredient A preferably is a compound of formula II [wherein (n) is 1-10, preferably 1-8, more preferabaly 1-6].
