Abstract: Organopolysiloxanes composed of an organopolysiloxane segment and a poly(N-acylalkyleneimine) segment which is bonded to at least one silicone atom of said organopolysiloxane segment via an alkylene group containing heteroatom(s) and which consists of repeating units represented by formula (1): wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; and n is a number of 2 or 3; wherein the weight ratio of the organopolysiloxane segment (a) to the poly(N-acylalkyleneimine) segment (b) Ä(a)/(b)Ü is at least 5/95 and less than 40/60, and the weight-average molecular weight is from 10,000 to 500,000. These organopolysiloxanes are soluble or dispersible in water and can form a film with an excellent texture. Thus, they can be appropriately employed as additives for cosmetic products.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a latent image in high sensitivity to visible light and to be allowed to form a superior photopolymerized image by irradiation with the following ultraviolet rays by incorporating a dye-combined thioxathol derivative in the photosensitive composition. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitve composition contains a polymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and one of the thioxanthol derivatives represented by formula I in which each of Z1 and Z2 is a benzo- or naphtho-ring optionally substituted by a group except Dye; and Dye is a dye residue having a covalent bond to Z1 and/or Z2. The thioxanthols derivative are oxidized by the photopolymerization initiator to give the thioxanthones which serve as the polymerization initiator or sensitizer of hardening reaction by ultraviolet rays, thus permitting the latent image to be formed in high sensitivity to the visible light and to form the photopolymerized image by the following uniform irradiation with ultraviolet rays.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form latent images with a high sensitivity to visible light and to form the photoset images by full-surface irradiation with UV light in succession thereto by incorporating thioxantols, photosensitive resin and photoradical generator which are respectively specific. In the formula I, Z1 and Z2 may be the same or different and denote a benzo ring or naphtho ring which may have a substituent. The thioxantols are the corresponding thioxantols oxidized by the effect of the photoradical generator component by irradiation with visible light and play the role of a polymn. initiator for a curing reaction or a sensitizer. The latent images are formed in this way with the high sensitivity to the visible light. The excellent photoset images are formed without curing the parts except the latent images at all even by the subsequent irradiation with UV rays.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive composition which can form a latent image in high sensitivity to visible light and can form an excellent photopolymer image by mixing a specified thioxanthol with a polymerizable compound and a photopolymerization initiator sensitive to visible light. CONSTITUTION:0.1-50 pts.wt. thioxanthol of the formula (wherein Z and Z are each a benzene or naphthalene ring which may be substituted) is mixed with 100 pts.wt. polymerizable compound (e.g. ethyl acrylate), 0.1-10 pts.wt. photopolymerization initiator sensitive to visible light, and optionally 0.1-10 pts.wt., per pt.wt. thioxanthol, amine (e.g. tributylamine) to obtain a photosenstive composition. This composition is applied to a substrate in a thickness of 0.1-10mum, dried and irradiated with visible light of a wavelength of 400-850nm after the pattern of the desired image to form a latent image on it, and the entire surface is irradiated with ultraviolet light. The image is developed with a solvent such as ethanol or methyl cellosolve.
