    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the UV ray-preventing cosmetic containing a specific organopolysiloxane and a UV absorber and sustaining the existence of the UV absorber on skins for a long time to prevent the skins from UV rays. CONSTITUTION:The UV ray-preventing cosmetic contains 0.01-50wt.% of an organopolysiloxane having repeating units of the formula (R , R are 1-4C alkyl; R is 1-40C alkyl, alkenyl, fluoroalkyl; R is 7-40C alkyl, alkenyl, fluoroalkyl; lis an integer of >=2; m is a number of >=3; l+m=5-600) and 0.05-40wt.% of an oil-soluble UV absorber (e.g. para-aminobenzoic acid, homomenthyl N- acetylanthranilate) as active ingredients. Since the UV absorber remains at a coated site for a long time without causing the diffusion in skin fats and the outflow by sweat or water, the UV ray-preventive effect is durable.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic for protection from ultraviolet rays, excellent in feeling of use such as hardly any stickiness, unsmoothness or sliminess for the skin and sustaining effects on protection of the skin from ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic for protection from ultraviolet rays is obtained by blending (A) preferably 0.01-5wt.%, especially 0.1-1.0wt.% alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer, preferably a polymerization product prepared by using (A1) especially 95.9-98.8wt.% olefinic unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, (A2) especially 1-3.5wt.% ester of (meth)acrylic acid with a 10-30C alcohol and (A3) especially 0.1-0.6wt.% olefinic polyfunctional monomer (cross-linking agent) with (B) preferably 1-10wt.% powder, having preferably 0.01-10mum particle diameter and insoluble in water and oils, (C) 1-30wt.%, especially 5-30wt.% one or more, preferably two or more oil-soluble ultraviolet ray absorbers and (D) preferably 40-90wt.%, especially 70-85wt.% water as essential ingredients. This cosmetic has the above-mentioned effects.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a keratotic reproduction inhibitor capable of delaying production of keratotic plugs in contracted skin pores after removing the keratotic plugs, keeping also the reproduced keratotic plugs small and thereby making the skin pores inconspicuous. CONSTITUTION:A keratotic reproduction inhibitor is obtained by including 0.01-10wt.%, especially 0.1-5wt.% one or more compounds selected from tannic acid, zinc oxide, zinc sulfate, zinc chloride, potassium aluminum sulfate, chlorohydroxyaluminum, allantoin chlorohydroxyaluminum or allantoin dihydroxyaluminum as an active ingredient. The aforementioned inhibitor is capable of suppressing reproducition of keratotic plugs in temporarily contracted skin pores after removing the keratotic plugs and making the skin pores inconspicuous. Furthermore, the keratotic plugs can effectively be removed by employing a keratoric removing agent containing a polymeric compound having salt-forming groups such as carboxyl group, sulfonate group, sulfate group, phosphate residue, nitrate residue, amino group or ammonium group.
