    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent compsn. for dry cleaning excellent in detergency by compounding a quat-ammonium salt represented by a specific formula and a fatty acid with the number of carbon atoms specified in a specified wt. ratio. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding a quat-ammonium salt represented by the formula (wherein R1 is 8-23C alkyl; R2 is 1-22C alkyl, hydroxyethyl, etc.; R3 and R4 are each 1-3C alkyl, hydroxyethyl, etc.; Y is ethylene or propylene; m is 0 or 1; and X is the anion of sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, etc.) (e.g. stearyldimethylhydroxyethylammonium phosphate) and an 8-22C linear or branched satd. or unsatd. fatty acid in a wt. ratio of (5/1)-(1/10). If necessary, an anionic or nonionic surfactant and a dry cleaning solvent (e.g. trichloroethane) are incorporated into the comspn. The compsn. is so prepd. that the sum of the contents of the salt and the acid is 10-70wt.%. Before used, the compsn. is diluted to a concn. of about 0.3-2wt.% with a dry cleaning solvent.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial agent composition capable of reducing a benzalkonium salt without lowering antimicrobial properties, slight in irritation, by including an alkyldimethylbenzylammonium salt (benzalkonium salt) and a serine-N,N-diacetate. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial agent comprises (A) an alkyldimethylbenzylammonium salt (benzalkonium salt) of formula I (R is a 12-14C alkyl, preferably a straight-chain alkyl; X is an anion such as a halogen ion, a monohexadecylphosphoric acid ester ion, etc.), and (B) a serine-N,N- diacetate of formula II (M is H or a cation such as an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium, an alkylammonium, etc.), in the ratio of the component B/the component A (molar ratio) of >=0.5, more preferably 0.5-5, especially preferably 1-2. The amounts of the components A and B mixed are preferably 0.1-40 wt.% and 0.05-30 wt.%, more preferably 2-20 wt.% and 1-15 wt.%, respectively.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject detergent suitable for use in cooking facilities on a large scale, capable of exhibiting excellent storage stability, handleability, safety, bactericidal properties and cleanability, by making a chlorine-based sterilizer, a surfactant and a solid acid into a solid preparation. SOLUTION: This solid sterilizing detergent for perishable foods has pH 2-12 at 1 wt.% aqueous solution and comprises (A) 0.1-80 wt.% of a chlorine- based sterilizer such as (higher) bleaching powder, sodium chlorite, etc., (B) 0.1-80 wt.% of a solid acid such as fumaric acid, succinic acid, etc., (C) 0.01-80 wt.% of a surfactant such as sodium oleate, a sorbitan fatty acid ester, etc., and, if required, (D) 0.1-80 wt.% of a foaming agent, (E) a pH adjuster and (F) 1-50 wt.% of an inorganic peroxide.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent which can provide a long-term storing stability in a powdered form and further prevent lowering of concn. after preparation of an aq. soln. as well as decompsn. of a cationic sterilizer, by blending sodium percarbonate or sodium perborate, a cationic sterilizer and an aspartic acid-N,N- diacetate in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: With (A) 100 pts.wt. of sodium percarbonate or sodium perborate, (B) 0.5-100 pts.wt. of a cationic sterilizer and (C) 0.05-100 pts.wt. of an aspartic acid-N,N-diacetate having the formula (wherein M is H, Na, K or NH4 ; and R is H or OH) are blended. As a component B, enumerated are a cationic surfactant, a biguanide type sterilizer and an amino acid type surfactant, etc. Furthermore, it is preferable to apply, together with them, (D) an inorg. alkali metal salt, more pref. a surfactant and particularly pref. (E) a nonionic surfactant. Usually 10-800 pts.wt. of component D and 0.5-100 pts.wt. at component E are blended with 100 pts.wt. at component A.
