Abstract: The present invention provides a detergent composition containing an N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)-glutamic acid salt as an organic builder and being more excellent in detergency than otherwise. The detergent composition comprises (a) an anionic surfactant, (b) a salt of a polymer comprising carboxylic acid units and having a specific molecular weight, (c) an N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)glutamic acid salt represented by the following formula (I), and (d) a crystalline aluminosilicate at specific proportions: wherein M is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, an ammonium or a basic amino group, provided that a plurality of M's may be the same as or different from each other.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of exhibiting a graying- suppressing effect and an excellent sebum stain-washing force by including a surfactant, an N, N-bis(carboxymethyl)serine salt and polyethylene glycol. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 10-50 wt.% of a surfactant (preferably an anionic or nonionic surfactant), (B) 1-40 wt.% of an N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)serine salt of the formula [M is H, an alkali (alkaline earth) metal, ammonium, a basic amino], and (C) 1.0-5 wt.% of polyethylene glycol having a weight-average mol.wt. of 1,000-20,000. The composition preferably further contains 0.5-5 wt.% of an unsaturated carboxylic acid polymer having a weight-average mol.wt. of 1,000-150,000. Thereby, the detergent composition having an effect for suppressing a graying phenomenon which is a problem on the washing of clothes and capable of exhibiting an excellent whiteness- maintaining effect is provided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powdered detergent which has a high detergency and an excellent caking resistance (storing stability) by blending a cheating agent having a specific neutralization degree, mol.wt., no. of carboxyl group and Ca chelating stability, an alkaline agent having a specific alkalinity, and a surfactant in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: One to 50 wt.% of a chelating agent having an average neutralization degree of 20-70%, a mol.wt. of of 6-13, 5-60 wt.% of an alkaline agent consisting of a compd. with its max. pH being >=10 (20 deg.C) based on 0.1 wt.% concn. aq. soln, or dispersion and 1 liter of the soln. or the dispersion requiring >=5 ml of 0.1 N HCl aq. soln. to reach pH 9 and 5-50 wt.% at a surfactant are blended. A pref. chelating agent is an amino polycarboxylic acid having the formula [wherein R is -(CH2 )n -A (where A is H, OH or COOH); M is H, Na, K or NH4 ; and (n) is 0-3].

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bleaching agent-contg. detergent compsn. excellent in bleaching effect by compounding a percarbonate or perborate (A), an amidoamine oxide surfactant (A), and an alkali agent (C). SOLUTION: Ingredient A having an effective oxygen concn. of 8-16wt.% is used, sodium percarbonate being esp. pref. in terms of bleaching effect. Ingredient B is represented by formula I (wherein R1 is a 7-19C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 is H, a 1-5C alkyl, alkenyl, or hydroxyalkyl; R3 and R4 are each a 1-3C alkyl or alkenyl; and n is 1-5). In formula I, R1 is pref. a 9-15C alkyl; n is pref. 3; R2 is pref. H or methyl; and R3 and R4 are each pref. methyl or ethyl. Examples or ingredient C are an inorg. alkali metal salt (e.g. a crystalline silicate) and a polyphosphate. Further addition of a bleaching activator is pref. in order to enhance the bleacing effect of ingredient A. The compounding ratio of A:B:C is (2-50wt.%):(3wt.% or higher):(3-50wt.%). The total amt. of surfactants including ingredient B is 10-50wt.%.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a highly dense granular detergent, capable of producing the detergent having a high granule strength, having excellent flowability and caking resistance, and useful for washing clothes by subjecting the particles of a specific surfactant mixture to a compact molding method or a rolling granulation method at a specific temperature. SOLUTION: This highly dense granular detergent is obtained by spraying and drying an aqueous mixture comprising (A) a non-soap anionic surfactant, (B) a polyoxyethylene higher fatty acid monoethanolamide surfactant of the formula [R is a 7-19C (un)saturated hydrocarbon group; EO is oxyethylene; (n) is an average EO addition mole number of 0.5-3], and (C) an inorganic component such as amorphous sodium silicate, and subsequently subjecting the obtained dry particles to a compact molding method and subsequently to a crushing granulation method or to a rolling granulation method at a higher temperature by >=5 deg.C than the melting point of the component B. the components A, B and C are compounded at a B/A weight ratio of 0.05-1 and at a (A+B)/C weight ratio of 0.2-1 in the aqueous mixture, and the granulation is carried out so as to give an average granule diameter of 200-1000 μm.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition exhibiting excellent cleaning power under a low-temperature washing condition owing to the quick swelling of oily stain such as sebum by compounding a surfactant having a high permeability to fatty acid and a chelating agent having a Ca -chelate stability number of not smaller than a specific level. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) preferably 8-50 wt.% of a surfactant having a fatty acid permeability of >=0.13 and an HLB value of >=11 and (B) preferably 10-35 wt.% of a chelating agent having a Ca -chelate stability number of >=6. The component A is preferably a nonionic surfactant of the formula I (R1 is a 7-19C straight or branched chain alkyl or alkenyl; R2 is H or a 1-3C alkyl; R, and R4 are each a 1-3C alkyl or alkenyl; (n) is 1-5), etc. The component B is e.g. a chelating agent of the formula II (M is a counter ion). The objective composition is preferably incorporated with a crystalline silicate, an aluminosilicate, etc.
