Abstract: A magnetic disk cartridge retains a rotational magnetic disk in a case through liners, which contact the associated surfaces of the disk and each have multiple long protrusions formed almost uniformly and almost in parallel to one another on the whole surface on the disk side. As the magnetic disk rotates, the angle of the disk surface contacting the long protrusions can gradually change, thus ensuring removal of dust from the disk. In addition, this structure can reduce the frictional resistance between the liner's surface and magnetic disk, which contributes to faster rotation of the disk.

Abstract: A magnetic disk cartridge retains a rotational magnetic disk (1) in a case through liners (5) which contact the associated surfaces of the disk and each nave multiple long protrusions (7) formed almost uniformly and almost in parallel to one another on the whole surface of the disk side. As the magnetic disk rotates, the angle of the disk surface contacting the long protrusions can gradually change, thus ensuring removal of dist from the disk. In addition, this structure can reduce the frictional resistance between the liner's surface and magnetic disk, which contributes to faster rotation of the disk. In modifications the protrusions may take other shapes than linear, eg zigzag, sinusoidal or sawtooth, providing the same effect.

Powder generated at the time of shear cutting is thereby sucked by the vacuum generator 47 through a gap (c) or a clearance (h), so that clean air containing no powder at all is supplied onto a disk 20. The behavior is therefore stabilized, and there is no fear of powder being attached to the disk surface 23.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an absorbent for sanitary use composed of pulp and a water-absorbing polymer homogeneously dispersed with each other in the direction of thickness. CONSTITUTION: Crushed pulp is supplied through a crusher 3 into a duct 7 in which an air flow of a definite direction is generated by a suction pump 11. At the same time, a water-absorbing polymer is introduced into the duct 7 through a water-absorbing polymer feeding pipe 5 by the aid of the air flow and joined with the crushed pulp transfer flow to form a mixed flow. In the above joining process, the air flow containing the water-absorbing polymer is joined to the crushed pulp transfer flow at an angle between the right angle and the oppositely directing angle. A mixed flow containing homogeneously dispersed pulp and water-absorbing polymer is formed by this process. The mixed flow is supplied to a rotary deposition drum 9 of a molding process to form an absorbent having a prescribed form.
