Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic capable of suitably absorbing serum, excellent in effect of improving and preventing greasy feeling of sebum and smeared makeup, having good usability and capable of effectively permeating substances improving skin qualities such as moisture, bracing and tenseness into skin. SOLUTION: This cosmetic comprises (A) oil-absorbing powder in which absorbing amount of squalane is >=1 ml/g and (B) an active ingredient in which affinity for the component A is lower than affinity for sebum. The cosmetic can efficiently impart these substances to skin by releasing these substances improving skin qualities in turns by absorbing sebum and has lower irritation and lasting effect, compared with cosmetics containing a conventional substance improving skin quality in high concentration.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a cleaning agent compsn. with excellent foaming power and foam quality, reduced irritativeness to skins and hairs and furthermore improved cleaning properties by compounding a nonionic surfactant with a specified polyethyleneimine polymer. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer (A) with repeating units of formulas I and II (wherein R is H, CH3 or C2H5; R is a 4-15C alkyl, aryl or aralkyl) in a wt. ratio of formula I to formula II of 9/1 to 1/9 (polyethyleneimine polymer) and a nonionic surfactant (B) (e.g. polyoxyethylene alkyl ether) are compounded. Even though the nonionic surfactant has a feature of weak irritativeness to skins, there arises sometimes a problem on its inferior foaming power and foam quality to those of other surfactant. It is possible by the abovedescribed combination to obtain a cleaning agent compsn. with excellent foaming power and foam quality, reduced irritativeness to skins and hairs, and furthermore improve cleaning properties.

When the polyethyleneimine polymer, which is one of nonionic surfactants, is used as a main cleaning base, the compsn. has excellent foaming power and reduced irritativeness, but there remain problems to be improved such as undesirable massaging effect caused by the occurrence of scrooping when cleaning is performed by using it as a cleaning agent for skins. It is possible by the abovedescribed combination to obtain a cleaning agent compsn. with excellent foaming and cleaning power, good massaging effect and reduced irritativeness to skins and hairs.

CONSTITUTION:A copolymer (A) with repeating units of formulas I and II (wherein R is H, CH3 or C2H5; R is a 4-15C alkyl, aryl or aralkyl) in a wt. ratio of formula I to formula II of 9/1 to 1/9 (polyethyleneimine polymer) and a cationic surfactant (B) (e.g. octadecyltrimethylammonium chloride) are compounded. Even though the cationic surfactant has not only cleaning power but also bactericidal and bacteriostatic actions and is used for a skin cleaning agent for sterilization such as a cationic soap, there exist defects such as poor foaming, coarse foam and remaining of unpleasant sliminess after rinsing. It is possible by the abovedescribed combination to obtain a cleaning agent compsn. with good foaming reduction in unpleasant sliminess after rinsing and reduced irritativeness to the skins.

CONSTITUTION:A copolymer (A) with repeating units of formulas I and II (wherein R is H, CH3 or C2H5; R is a 4-15C alkyl, aryl or aralkyl) in a wt. ratio of formula I to formula II of 9/1 to 1/9 (polyethyleneimine polymer) and an amphoteric surfactant (B) (e.g. laurylaminopropionic acid) are compounded. Even though the amphoteric surfactant is mild to the skin and has good foaming properties, it exhibits coarse foam quality and insufficient cleaning power to sebum and oils. It is possible by the abovedescribed combination to obtain a cleaning agent compsn. with fine foam, high cleaning power and good touch after cleaning.

Even though the anionic surfactant has excellent cleaning and foaming power, there arises sometimes a problem on its being irritative to skins and hairs. It is possible by the abovedescribed combination to obtain a cleaning agent compsn. having excellent cleaning and foaming power, good foam breakage and good touch after cleaning and being less irritative to skins and hairs.
