    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain wall paper having excellent stain resistance by coating a substrate sheet with a blend containing an aqueous dispersion of fluorine- containing resin to form a protective coating film. CONSTITUTION:A substrate sheet (e.g. wall paper processed with polyvinyl chloride) is coated with a composition of an aqueous dispersion of fluorine- containing resin blended with colloidal silica, etc., heat-treated and a protective coating film of the composition is formed to give wall paper having excellent stain resistance. The aqueous dispersion of fluorine-containing resin is obtained by copolymerizing an aqueous emulsion comprising a fluorine-containing resin having 5-95wt.% fluorine containing monomer with a vinyl monomer and is an aqueous dispersion of resin particles having double structure wherein a fluorine-containing resin is distributed in the shell part.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the above dispersion having moderate rate of polymerization, low frothing tendency, high surface tension and excellent water-resistance, by carrying out radical polymerization of a monomer containing polymerizable unsaturated bond in the presence of a specific polymer emulsion. CONSTITUTION:The objective dispersion is produced by the radical polymerization of (A) 99.8-97wt.% of a monomer containing polymerizable unsaturated bond (e.g., acrylic acid) in the presence of (B) 0.2-3wt.% (solid basis) of a polymer emulsion composed of a polymer of an ethylenic or conjugated diene unsaturated monomer and having an average particle diameter of 0.001-0.03mum. The component B is preferably a self-dispersing aqueous resin emulsion free from surfactant and obtained by phase-inversion process.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently coagulate a polymer in latex and to efficiently recover the polymer having low contents of metal and surface activator, by blending a polymer latex prepared by emulsion polymerization with a nonionic activator and heating. CONSTITUTION:A polymer latex (e.g. acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer) prepared by emulsion polymerization is blended with a nonionic activator having 0-100 deg.C cloud point and >=1,000mol.wt. as a coagulant, heated to >= the cloud point of the activator, the polymer in the polymer latex is coagulated and recovered. An organopolysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymer or an adduct of an (alkyl)phenol with a polyoxyalkylene is preferable as the nonionic activator. The recovered polymer has low metallic corrosive properties and hardly causes corrosion of devices.
