Abstract:
A composition for activating an inorganic peroxide bleaching agent comprising (A) an acetic acid ester of a monosaccharide, a disaccharide, a sugar alcohol, an internal anhydride of a sugar alcohol, or erythritol, said ester having at least 2 ester groups on the adjacent carbon atoms, and (B) an acetic acid ester of a polyhydric alcohol having a melting point not higher than about 30*C., the weight ratio of the components being within the range of from 1/9 to 9/1.
Abstract:
A liquid detergent bleaching composition comprising an alkaline aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite, which solution contains a surfactant having the formula wherein R1, R2 and R3, which can be the same or different, each is alkyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms, the sum of the carbon atoms of R1, R2 and R3 being 10 to 20; and X is -SO3M, -CH2COOM, CH2CH2COOM, -(CH2CH2O)nSO3M or -(CH2CH2O)n-COOM, wherein n is an integer of 1 to 40 and M is an alkali metal.
Abstract:
A STABLE LIQUID SCOURING CLEANSER COMPOSITION IS COMPRISED OF 30-70% BY WEIGHT OF ABRASIVE PARTICLES, FROM 15-60% BY WEIGHT OF WATER, FROM 1-10% BY WEIGHT OF A NONIONIC SURFACTANT HAVING AN PLB LOWER THAN ABOUT 10 AND FROM 1-10% BY WEIGHT OF AN ANIONIC SURFACTANT. THE COMPOSITION MAY ALSO CONTAIN FROM 0.1-10% BY WEIGHT OF A SOLUBILIZING AGENT TO PREVENT SEPARATION OF THE CONSTITUENTS UPON REPEATED FREEZING AND THAWINGS. THE COMPOSITION IS PREPARED BY HOMOGENEOUSLY DISPERSING THE CONSTITUENTS AT A TEMPERATURE OF 50* TO 100*C. WITH STIRRING.
Abstract:
A METHOD OF FORMING A GRANULAR DETERGENT COMPOSITION BY INCORPORATING A CRYSTALLINE ALKALI METAL METALBORATE IN A POWDERED DETERGENT COMPOSITION, HEATING THE COMPOSITION AND APPLYING A MOTION TO THE COMPOSITION IN ORDER TO FORM A GRANULAR PRODUCT WHICH IS NOT APT TO AGGLOMERATE.
Abstract:
In the preparation of foamable sodium percarbonate, a cooling step is employed after a heat treatment at 110 DEG -135 DEG C. for 5-60 minutes.
