Abstract: A fat and oil composition comprises (1) as the main triglyceride one or more mixed acid triglyceride having one or more saturated C20 to C24 fatty acid residue and one or more unsaturated C16 to C22 fatty acid residue in a molecule thereof and (2) in the entire fatty acid moiety 15 to 70 wt.% of one or more saturated C20 to C24 fatty acids and 20 to 60 wt.% of one or more unsaturated C16 to C22 fatty acids. It is useful as a base of a solid cosmetic preparation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:A solid cosmetic showing excellent synergistic effects, having both improved feeling in use and durability of makeup, containing specific plastic fats and oils and a branched fatty acid cholesteryl ester. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing (A) 0.01-80wt% preferably 0.2-50wt% plastic fats and oils which contains 30-70wt% >=20C saturated straight-chain fatty acid, 20-60wt% 16-22C unsaturated fatty acid, as constituent fatty acids and a triglyceride of mixed acid group of the >=20C saturated fatty acid as a man component (>=35wt%, preferably >=45wt% content) and (B) 0.01-50wt% preferably 0.03-30wt% branched fatty acid cholesteryl ester shown by the formula(R is 11-23C saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group containing at lest one alkyl-substituent group from carboxyl bond site to the center of main chain).

CONSTITUTION:A solid cosmetic having improved shape retention, feeling in use, finish and durability of cosmetic, containing (A) plastic fats and oils comprising 30-70wt%>=20C saturated straight-chain fatty acid and 20-60wt% 16-22C unsaturated fatty acid as constituent fatty acids and a triglyceride of mixed acid group of >=20C saturated fatty acid and 18-22C unsaturated fatty acid as main components and (B) a compound shown by the formula I(m is 2-14 integer; n is 3-11 integer; m+n is 9-21), as essential components and preferably further (C) a compound shown by the formula II(R is total 11-23C saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group containing one or more alkyl-substituted group from carboxyl bond site to the center of main chain).
