SOLUTION: Provided is a base oil for a refrigerator oil, comprising an ester obtained from pentaerythritol and a 4-18C saturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid or its derivative, wherein the ester comprises 96.00-99.95 wt.% monopentaerythritol fatty acid tetraester and having a color of at most 300 (as measured by the APHA method), and a process for producing a base oil for a refrigerator, containing an ester produced from pentaerythritol and a 4-18C saturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid or its derivative, wherein the pentaerythritol used has a monopentaerythritol concentration of 97.00-99.95 wt.% and having a color of at most 300 (as measured by the APHA method).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having a desirable grain size distribution at a good yield by discharging an aq. medium and polymerizable monomer compsn. under a specific pressure difference while whirling the medium and compsn. so as to generate vortex shearing flow. CONSTITUTION:A coloring agent, such as carbon black, a charge control agent, wax and others, such as toner characteristic improving agent, at need are added into the polymerizable monomer and these materials are uniformly mixed and dispersed by a wet process medium type grinding mill, such as attriter. A polymn. initiator is added to the polymerizable monomer compsn. obtd. in such a manner to form an oil phase and the oil phase is whirled under pressurization in the aq. medium in the presence of a dispersion stabilizer. The shearing force by the vortex flow is utilized. Namely, a continuous type dispersing machine utilizing the vortex flow or the vortex flow and cavitation is used under 30 to 200kg/cm G pressurization. The improvement in the grain size distribution of the toner is made and the small-grain size toner having a sharp grain size distribution to be desired for upgrading of image quality is obtd. at a good yield.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obviate defective cleaning and to obtain a toner which forms sharp images without deteriorating image quality even at the time of continuous copying of multiple sheets by incorporating an aliphat. acid metal salt into a polymerizable monomer and polymerizing the monomer. CONSTITUTION:This toner is obtd. by adding the metal salt of the fatty acid, more particularly the aluminum salt of the higher fatty acid to the polymerizable monomer with and into which a coloring agent, electrostatic charge control agent and other necessary toner characteristic improving agents are mixed and dispersed, then subjecting such monomer to suspension polymn. Since the toner obtd. in such a manner has itself the excellent cleanability, the cleaning defect which is heretofore not completely prevented by an ordinary method of adding a cleaning assistant externally into the toner or developer is prevented and the possibility of filming of the cleaning agent itself on a photosensitive body and accumulation thereof into the developer is eliminated. The excellent cleanability is thereby obtd. and the sharp images are always obtd. without deteriorating the image quality even at the time of continuous copying of many sheets.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide excellent fixing property, offset resistance, and excellent blocking resistance at a high temperature and high humidity in a heat pressure- fixing system such as a heat roller by adding a specific compound to a polymerization composition.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled stable composition containing two or more water- insoluble biocides without flocculating in dilution, by dispersing and suspending a water-insoluble biocidal powder which is a solid at ordinary temperature in a mixed system prepared by mixing another water-insoluble biocide with an organic solvent and a surfactant, and solubilizing water therein. CONSTITUTION:One or two or more biocides except at least one of biocide which is a solid at ordinary temperature, e.g. ''Dithane '', are mixed and solubilized with an organic solvent, a surfactant and water, and the rest biocide powder which is a solid at ordinary temperature, a viscosity increasing agent and water are added thereto and dispersed under stirring to give a fluid biocidal composition containing two or more water-insoluble biocides, at least one thereof being a solid at ordinary temperature. Preferably, the two or more water-insoluble biocides consist of (a) one or more liquid or pasty biocides which are liquids or pastes at ordinary temperature and (b) one or more biocides which are solids at ordinary temperature.
