Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent insufficient adhesion or excessive adhesive by determining the thickness of adhesive coating and the distribution thereof quickly, accurately and conveniently thereby adjusting and managing an adhesive applying unit. CONSTITUTION:The image of a surface coated with adhesive is picked up using an infrared rays in the absorption wavelength band of a component contained in an adhesive 4. An image data corresponding to the brightness of image is then determined for a plurality of pixels constituting a two-dimensional image being picked up. The thickness of adhesive coating applied to a plane is determined based on the image data thus determined and a predetermined relationship between the image data and the thickness of adhesive coating.

SOLUTION: The compression molding apparatus is for compressing and molding the powder cosmetic materials 11 charged into molding cavities 13, by means of an upper and a lower pestle 14, 15. The apparatus is equipped with a compression control mechanism 16 for controlling a compression load in such a manner that the actual waveform of the compression load by the lower pestle 15 is profiled along a prescribed waveform X. The compression control mechanism 16 is composed of a servo motor 17 for moving the lower pestle 15 in the compressing direction, a load cell 18 for measuring an actual compression load by the lower pestle 15, a sequencer 19 for sampling the actual compression load so measured and comparing the set waveform X with the actual compression load to send a control command so that a difference in the comparison is prevented from increasing, and a servo amplifier 20 for controllably driving the servo motor 17 based on the control command.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic compact case which can effectively avoid the cracking or falling off of a cosmetic material contained in a cosmetic holder inside, even when it is given an external shock. SOLUTION: This cosmetic compact case 10, consisting of a receiver body 11 and a lid 12 which is hinged at the edge 25 of the receiver body 11, has the cosmetic holder 14 containing the cosmetic material 13 fitted to a concave part 15 in the receiver body 11. It is also provided with a cushion plate member 19 so as to fill the gap 18 between the inner surface of the lid 12 and the upper surface of the cosmetic holder 14 or the upper surface of the cosmetic material 13 while the lid is closed. The cushion plate member 19 is attached to the back side of a division sheet 17 placed between a mirror 16 installed inside of the lid 12 and the upper surface of the receiver body 11. The cushion plate member 19 fills the inside of an upper end opening above the concave part 15 to stop up the gap 18 in an elastically compressed state.
