Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a granular product with low hygroscopicity by reacting an aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. with sodium carbonate in the presence of a specified amount of a silicate and an Mg salt and granulating the resulting caky sodium percarbonate with an aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. CONSTITUTION: When an aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. is reacted with sodium carbonate to manufacture sodium percarbonate, they are reacted in the presence of a silicate such as sodium metasilicate or sodium orthosilicate in an amount of 0.14W 2.8g as Si to 1kg produced sodium percarbonate and an Mg salt such as magnesium sulfate or magnesium chloride in an amount of 0.024W0.72g as Mg. Produced sodium percarbonte is separated, and to 75W92pts.wt. as pure component of the separated caky sodium percarbonate is added 25W8pts.wt. aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. having 1.5W10wt% concn. By granulating the mixture of tableting or other pressurizing method, the titled sodium percarbonate is obtd. COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled product having improved mechanical strength and high dissolving rate in water, by reacting and crystallizing Na2CO3 with H2O2 in the presence of a specific stabilizer, mixing a carbonate, etc. with the resultant cake containing a suitable mother liquor, and granulating the resultant mixture. CONSTITUTION:Na2CO3 is reacted with H2O2 in the presence of a silicate, Mg salt an alkali metallic salt or triethanolamine salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), and the reaction product is crystallized. A cake consisting of 75- 92pts.wt. Na2CO3 and 25-8pts.wt. mother liquor is separated, and a carbonate or polysaccharide or a derivative thereof is mixed therewith, and the resultant mixture is granulated. The three components of the stabilizers are essential, and the absence of the Mg salt deteriorates the moisture resistance. The absence of the silicate deteriorates the thermal stability and mechanical strength. The salt of EDTA interacts with the salts to further improve the product stability. The absence of the salt of the EDTA does not provide a sufficient resistance to heat and moisture. The granulating additive is effective only when added to the cake.

PURPOSE: To obtain a product with superior solubility by reacting an aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. with sodium carbonate in the presence of a specified amount of a silicate and an Mg salt, mixing the resulting caky sodium percarbonate with an Mg salt, etc., and granulating the mixture by a pressurizing method. CONSTITUTION: When an aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. is reacted with sodium carbonate to manufacture sodium percarbonate, they are reacted in the presence of a silicate such as sodium metasilicate in an amount of 0.14W2.8g as Si to 1kg produced sodium percarbonate and an Mg salt such as magnesium sulfate in an amount of 0.024W0.72g as Mg. Produced sodium percarbonate is separated, and 100pts.wt. separated cake having 75W92% solid content is mixed with 0.05W 15pts.wt. Mg salt such as magnesium chloride and/or ethylenediaminetetraacetate. By granulating the mixture by tableting or other pressurizing method, the titled sodium percarbonate is obtd.
