    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an amine by reducing a nitrile with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst and ammonia while directly recovering the ammonia at low cost in high efficiency to reuse it. CONSTITUTION:The objective amine of the formula RCH2NH2 can be obtained by reduction of a nitrile of the formula RCN [R is 6-22C alkyl hydroxyalkyl or group of the formula (R and R are each H, 1-6C alkyl or 2-9C hydroxyalkyl; (m) is 1-6)] with hydrogen in the presence of a reducing catalyst (e.g. Raney nickel) and ammonia at 40-200 deg.C under a hydrogen pressure of 10-30kg/cm G. In this case, the nitrile is brought into contact with the hydrogen/ammonia mixed gas in the reactional system at the completion of the reaction to effect absorption of the ammonia from the mixed gas into the nitrile, and the resultant ammonia-contg. nitrile is reused as a feedstock nitrile for the reaction. The amine of this invention is useful as a raw material for surfactants, softening agents, dyes, acidic gas scavengers, or polymers.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To continuously and efficiently obtain an amide useful as a base for softening agents or lubricants, etc., in high quality for a short time from an amine, a fatty acid or its lower alcohol ester using a stirred thin-film reactor. CONSTITUTION:An amine, preferably a compound expressed by the formula [R and R are H, 1-22C alkyl or 2-10C hydroxyalkyl; (l) and (m) are respectively integers of 2-8; (n) is an integer of 0-6] and a straight-chain or branched fatty acid, preferably a compound expressed by the formula R'COOH (R' is 9-21C alkyl) or its lower alcohol ester are continuously fed to a stirred thin-film reactor having rotatable platy blades 2 installed in a casing 1 and preferably reacted under conditions of 240-310 deg.C reaction temperature, 0.5-30min residence time and further 2X10 to 100X10 Reynolds number (Re) and/or 1-25 Froude number (Fr) of a liquid flowing in the thin-film part formed in the aforementioned reactor. Thereby, the objective amide is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled product having improved mechanical strength and high dissolving rate in water, by reacting and crystallizing Na2CO3 with H2O2 in the presence of a specific stabilizer, mixing a carbonate, etc. with the resultant cake containing a suitable mother liquor, and granulating the resultant mixture. CONSTITUTION:Na2CO3 is reacted with H2O2 in the presence of a silicate, Mg salt an alkali metallic salt or triethanolamine salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), and the reaction product is crystallized. A cake consisting of 75- 92pts.wt. Na2CO3 and 25-8pts.wt. mother liquor is separated, and a carbonate or polysaccharide or a derivative thereof is mixed therewith, and the resultant mixture is granulated. The three components of the stabilizers are essential, and the absence of the Mg salt deteriorates the moisture resistance. The absence of the silicate deteriorates the thermal stability and mechanical strength. The salt of EDTA interacts with the salts to further improve the product stability. The absence of the salt of the EDTA does not provide a sufficient resistance to heat and moisture. The granulating additive is effective only when added to the cake.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain hollow granular percarbonate having a high dissolving speed and hardly causing disappearance of available oxygen even after long-term storage by maintaining the composition of an aqueous soln. contg. carbonate and hydrogen peroxide as mother liquor in a specified range and crystallizing percarbonate. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous soln. contg. 6.0-15.0wt% carbonate and 1.5- 6.0wt% hydrogen peroxide is prepared as mother liquor, and by adding granular carbonate and an aqueous soln. of hydrogen peroxide while maintaining 6.0- 15.0wt% carbonate, 1.5-6.0wt% hydrogen peroxide and >=2mol carbonate to 3mol hydrogen peroxide, percarbonate is crystallized. Said carbonate and hydrogen peroxide are added simultaneously or alternately and continuously or intermittently.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve an accurate absorption analysis of a liquid to be measured mixed with a gas, by pressurizing the liquid being measured to perform an absorption analysis under a specified pressure condition. CONSTITUTION:Pressure-proof valves 4 and 5 are opened to introduce a reaction liquid into a cell 1 for measurement from a piping 16, passed through a passage comprising a supply piping 6, a deliver piping 7 and a piping 16 to be replaced with an old sample reaction liquid in the cell 1 for measurement and then, a new sample reaction liquid is supplied. Then, the pressure proof valves 4 and 5 are closed while a pressure-proof value 12 is opened and a pressure air adjusted to a specified pressure with a pressure regulation valve 11 is introduced from an air introducing section 9 to pressurize the reaction liquid filled in the piping closed. In this manner, after the sample reaction liquid within the cell 1 for measurement is pressurized to a specified pressure, measurement in absorption analysis is performed maintaining this pressure condition.

CONSTITUTION:The method for producing a di-long-chain type tertiary amine acid salt is characterized by subjecting a di-long-chain type tertiary amine compound having one group R-OCO (R is 11-21C alkyl or alkenyl) derived from a 12-22C fatty acid, one group CONH and one 11-22C alkyl or alkenyl group in the molecule, e.g. a compound of formula I to III (R is 1-4C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; R and R are R; R is 12-22C alkyl or alkenyl) and an acid to neutralizing reaction at a temperature within the range of the melting point of the di-long-chain type tertiary amine compound to the boiling point thereof without using a reactional solvent in a nonaqueous system.
