Abstract: In a method of washing with a flexible absorber impregnated with a small amount of water and a detergent solution, there is provided a liquid detergent composition exhibiting a high detergent effect and durability of the effect. Disclosed is a liquid detergent composition for use in direct impregnation of specific amounts of a flexible absorber, which comprises a surfactant, a hydrotropic agent and a water-soluble organic solvent and water, has a viscosity of 300 to 1000 mPa.s at 20 DEG C, and has the maximum viscosity when diluted with water within the concentration range of 10 to 60% by weight.

Abstract: A liquid detergent composition which exhibits high and long-lasting detergency when used in a method in which a flexible absorbent is soaked with the detergent together with a small amount of water and used in washing. The liquid detergent composition, which is for direct infiltration into a flexible absorbent, is a composition which comprises specific amounts of a surfactant, a hydrotropic agent, and a water-soluble organic solvent and water and has a viscosity at 20°C of 300 to 1,000 mPa•s, and aqueous dilutions of which have a maximum viscosity when the concentration thereof is in the range of 10 to 60 wt.%.
