Abstract:
An aqueous developer for imageable elements that contain a radiation-sensitive initiator system and at least one free radical polymerizable material and a method for forming an image are disclosed. The developer contains water, a buffer, and one or more filter dyes and/or one of more free radical inhibitors. The imageable elements are useful as printing plates. The developer develops exposed imageable elements quickly for form printing plates, with high throughput, but with no sludge formation in the developing process.
Abstract:
An aqueous developer for lithographic printing plates and a method for developing the printing plates are disclosed. The developer comprises an organic dispersing agent. The developer develops multi-layer printing plates quickly, with high throughput, but with no sludge formation in the developing process.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to non-photosensitive coating compositions comprising: (a) at least one water-soluble film-forming polymer and (b) at least one high molecular thickening agent which shows thixotropic behavior.
Abstract:
The invention is aqueous alkaline composition comprising at least one alkali metal silicate, glycerol, at least one glycol and phosphoric acid and/or phosphates. The composition can be used as a developer and replenisher for developing either positive-working or negative-working alkaline developable lithographic printing plates (including thermal plates) independently of the interlayer present in the printing plate.
Abstract:
An aqueous alkaline composition comprising at least one phosphonic acid, at least one polyglycol derivative and at least one glycol. The composition can be used as either a developer or a replenisher for either positive-working or negative-working alkaline developable lithographic printing plates, including thermal plates.
