PURPOSE: A data coding method for a 3D broadcast and a device thereof are provided to enable a user to watch a 3D broadcast while watching an existing 2D broadcast in a broadcast system. CONSTITUTION: An audio encoder(204) receives a voice signal. The audio encoder encodes the inputted voice signal using a voice signal compression algorithm. The audio encoder transfers the encoded signal to a multiplexer(206). The multiplexer multiplexes image signals encoded by a right image encoder(200) and a left image encoder(202), a voice signal encoded by the audio encoder, control data, and sub data. The multiplexer generates a transport stream.

PURPOSE: A multi channel audio compressing method and a device thereof are provided to reduce a load of a processor by compressing a multi channel audio. CONSTITUTION: When a joint determining unit(230) generates a joint audio signal, a selection unit(240) activates compression-1(270) and compression-2(280). A joint part(250) generates a joint audio signal. Analysis unit-3(260) analyzes the LPC of the joint audio signal. Compression unit-3(290) entropy-codes and compresses the joint audio signal.

PURPOSE: A low complexity variable order short-term predictor for forming an MPEG-4 ALS VLSI is provided to reduce complexity when MPEG-4 ALS hardware is formed. CONSTITUTION: A pre-determining block(110) generates a modified prediction order in response to an inputted prediction order value. A loop controller(120) determines the numbers of repetition and flag signals in response to the modified prediction order value. An FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filter(160) receives a sampled signal. A pipeline stall is applied to the FIR filter according to radix-2 algorithm. The FIR filter filters the sampled signal. An output block(180) adds a determined result of the loop controller to a filtered output result of the FIR filter.

PURPOSE: A device for decoding signal with separate decoding modules and an apparatus for outputting sound using the same are provided to flexibly process various audio/voice signals by performing the decoding for an audio/voice signal of a new format. CONSTITUTION: An analysis unit(710) recognizes the format of a voice signal and/or an audio signal after analyzing those two signals. A pre-processing unit(720) performs the pre-processing for the compressed audio/voice signal, and a share audio decoding module(731) and a selection audio decoding module(732) decode the audio signal. A share voice decoding module(733) and a selection voice decoding module(734) decode the voice signal.

PURPOSE: A method for providing and recognizing a transmission mode of a digital broadcast is provided to distinguish a frame compatible mode from a service compatible mode using the same descriptor. CONSTITUTION: When a receiving system reads all program information related descriptors, the receiving system reads a stream type and a basic PID(Packet Identifier)(S806,S822). The receiving system checks the length of the descriptor(S824). When the receiving system reads all ES information related descriptors, the receiving system reads a CRC_32(S826). The receiving system verifies data errors(S830).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for selecting an appropriate mode when performing a new broadcast, such as a 3D stereo broadcast, a UHDTV broadcast, and a multi-view broadcast, among others, while maintaining compatibility with existing broadcasting channels in an MPEG-2-TS format for transmitting and receiving digital TV, and to a method for recognizing a descriptor. To this end, the present invention suggests providing the descriptor which is related to synthesizing left and right images using the type of stream, existence of the descriptor, and a frame-compatible mode flag.

Provided are a decoding apparatus using a separate decoding module and an output apparatus adopting the same. The decoding apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a 1st audio decoding module which includes 1st audio signal processing modules; and a 1st voice decoding module that contains 1st voice signal processing modules, wherein the 1st audio signal processing modules and/or the 1st voice signal processing modules are used when processing an audio signal and/or a voice signal. Therefore, the invention is able to reduce the time, cost, and effort required for the development of overlapped modules.

The present invention relates to a stereoscopic video file format capable of improving bit efficiency and processing efficiency and a computer-readable recording medium in which the corresponding stereoscopic video file are recorded. The present invention includes: a file type box that stores file format information and information indicating whether or not to include monoscopic data; a movie box that stores a plurality of trak boxes configuring stereoscopic video streams; a media data box that stores multimedia resources; a stereoscopic video media information box that stores at least one common stereoscopic video stream arrangement information; a stereoscopic camera and display information reference box that stores camera parameter and recommendation display information referenced by the plurality of trak boxes; a stereoscopic camera and display information box that exists at each stereoscopic image frame of the stereoscopic video stream and stores reference information of the stereoscopic camera and display information reference box; and a meta box that stores metadata, thereby making it possible to minimize overlapping data and optimizing a configuration of a file format in a simple form.
