    Abstract: PURPOSE: A reference time information restoring method and a device and a data reception device thereof are provided to maintain stable network synchronization by restoring an exact value by preventing inconsistencies between a transmission time and reception time. CONSTITUTION: A communications unit(100) receives the transmission stream of an external data transmission device. A reception time record unit(110) records the reception time of an initial frame of a plurality of physical layer frames included in the transmission frame. A reception time recognition unit(120) recognizes the reception time of an initial frame corresponding to a physical layer frame including the reference time information of the transmission frame. A restoring unit(130) restores reference time information according to the reception time information of an initial frame of the physical layer frame. A synchronization unit(140) synchronizes with a data transmission device which transmits a transmission frame through the communications unit based on the reference time information. An error correction unit(150) corrects errors in a data transmission process.

    Abstract: An NCR packet insertion in satellite communication systems is provided to transmit steadily the NCR(net clock reference) value. The MODCOD having the lowest error rate is selected(102). The NCR value is inserted into the selected MODCOD frame. The MODCOD frame is transmitted to the reception terminal(103). The timer is the reset(104). The time value is increased. The arrival time value of packet is compared with the time value(106). If the time value is smaller than a threshold value(107), the time value is continually increased. If not so, the presence of selected MODCOD is confirmed(110). If there is no the selected MODCOD, the time value is increased.
