Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for construction of a forwarding table in an MPLS(Multi Protocol Label Switching) L3VPN is provided to perform stable packet forwarding using a plurality of forwarding tables without memory expansion. CONSTITUTION: In a forwarding process(173), forwarding information of routing software is read from a forwarding information queue(171). If the forwarding information queue is the forwarding information about VPN(Virtual Private Network), the forwarding information about VPN is stored in the next hop table(175). If the route information is newly registered information, the next hop index is allocated through the next hop index administrator(172). In case forwarding route information(174) is updated, the next hop Index field is updated in a forwarding table(140).
