In an apparatus and a method for power management, it is possible to minimize power consumption by starting an application service by selectively using a heterogeneous network interface of a terminal mounted with a plurality of heterogeneous networks.

PURPOSE: A method for construction of a forwarding table in an MPLS(Multi Protocol Label Switching) L3VPN is provided to perform stable packet forwarding using a plurality of forwarding tables without memory expansion. CONSTITUTION: In a forwarding process(173), forwarding information of routing software is read from a forwarding information queue(171). If the forwarding information queue is the forwarding information about VPN(Virtual Private Network), the forwarding information about VPN is stored in the next hop table(175). If the route information is newly registered information, the next hop index is allocated through the next hop index administrator(172). In case forwarding route information(174) is updated, the next hop Index field is updated in a forwarding table(140).

A binding cache management apparatus in an IPv6(Internet Protocol version 6) routing system and a method thereof are provided to efficiently construct the hardware binding cache tables of subscriber cards by processing mobile IPv6 control packets through a mobile IPv6 stack, creating a binding cache table, updating an internal binding cache table using it, and requesting the addition or deletion of binding entries to a subscriber card according to an update result. A binding cache management apparatus in an IPv6 routing system comprises a kernel(21) and a mobile IPv6 client(22). The kernel(21) processes mobile IPv6 control packets through a mobile IPv6 stack, creates a binding cache table, and forwards it to the mobile IPv6 client(22). The mobile IPv6 client(22) updates its own internal binding cache table(221) by using the binding cache table forwarded from the kernel(21), and requests a subscriber card(23) to add or delete a binding entry according to an update result.
Abstract:
A handover method of a mobile terminal connected to AP and a mobile communications system using the same are provided to connect the mobile terminal to optimum AP by selecting AP according to the association of the AP, bandwidth and intensity of link signal. A mobile terminal(100) is connected to a first AP(Access Point). A media-independent handover information server(600) stores the first AP and the second AP information. In case it handovers to the second AP, the mobile terminal receives the second AP information from the media independent handover information server. If the second AP performance according to the second AP information is more excellent than the first AP performance, it handovers from the mobile terminal to the second AP.
