A group key management method for secure multicast communication includes: creating a tree having a root node, internal nodes and leaf nodes to manage group keys of a receiver group by a group key management server; generating user keys of all nodes excluding the root node in the tree on the basis of Chinese Remainder Theorem; assigning the leaf nodes of the tree to users of the receiver group; and sending the user keys of the leaf nodes to the corresponding users for group key management. Further, the group key management method for secure multicast communication includes generating group keys of all non-leaf nodes; computing a solution of congruence equations based on the user key and group key by using Chinese Remainder Theorem for each non-leaf node; and multicasting a group key update message to each user of the respective leaf nodes.

The end user pays a charge to the content service site, receives an issued license from the content service site, and uses the content received from the re-sender through re-transmission.

Disclosed are a method for extracting a fingerprint of a publication, an apparatus for extracting a fingerprint of a publication, a system for identifying a publication using a fingerprint, and a method for identifying a publication using a fingerprint which can easily identify copyright infringement and can effectively protect copyrights. The system for identifying the publication using the fingerprint includes: a fingerprint extraction unit for extracting fingerprints for collected query publications to identify the copyright infringement; a fingerprint query unit for querying fingerprints of original publications corresponding to the fingerprints for the query publications provided from the fingerprint extraction unit; a DBMS for storing the fingerprints extracted from the original publications and additional information from the original publications, and providing a search result candidate group which is composed of fingerprints of at least one of the original publications corresponding to the queries of the fingerprint query unit; and a candidate group verification unit for determining copyright infringement for the query publications by verifying the search result candidate group provided from the DBMS. Consequently, the present invention can easily identify copyright infringement for the publications and can thereby prevent copyright infringement.

PURPOSE: A method for detecting signal, a device for detecting signal and a receiving device are provided to execute signal detection in a low complexity. CONSTITUTION: Candidate vector generating units(261,262) decide a first candidate vector about a first layer of the transmission signal group in consideration of all constellation points. The candidate vector generating units decide a second candidate vector about the second layer of the transmission signal group in consideration of all constellation points. The candidate vector generating units generates a final candidate vector including the first candidate vector and the second candidate vector. A soft decision value generating unit(270) produces the soft decision value using the final candidate vector.

A device and a method for changing a DRM algorithm of streaming data are provided to enable various DRM client terminals to use a streaming service encoded through various DRMs freely by changing the DRM algorithm stored in the streaming data into a different DRM algorithm if necessary. A plurality of parsers with an N-level receive and parse the streaming data. The plurality of packetizers with the N-level generate the streaming data by packetizing the parsed streaming data. A decoder decodes the data encoded by the n-th level parser among the N parsers according to a first DRM algorithm by connecting to the n-th parser. An encoder encodes the decoded data according to a second DRM algorithm by connecting to the m-th level packetizer among the N packetizers. A path manager manages a path based on m and n to enable the streaming data to be parsed/packetized by the minimum number of parsers and packetizers.

CONSTITUTION: Apparatus and method for copyright protection of digital contents comprises: a CCL(Creative Commons License) watermark applying unit(110) watermarking CCL information and digital contents provided together based on the CCL information; a transformation preventing watermark applying unit(120) inserting a watermark for detecting the transformation of the contents into the digital contents; a watermark management unit(130) issuing the CCL watermark and the watermark for detecting the transformation.

PURPOSE: A distributed filtering apparatus and a method for the copyright protection of digital content are provided to be able to filter content depending on priority in a copyright search of the digital content. CONSTITUTION: A priority work node unit(304) selectively filters content with a copyright using plural priority work node databases. In case the content copyright existence is not determined in the priority work node unit, by using a plurality of the databases for the general work node, a general work node unit(306) selectively filters the content with copyright using plural general work node databases. A search server(302) controls a selective filter using the priority work node unit and the general work node unit according to the priority search regulation.
