Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating random numbers sensitive to the initial value and hard to find the periodicity, by selecting pseudo random numbers through a filter defined as a nonlinear multidimensional chaos function from stored random numbers and outputting them. SOLUTION: Many multidimensional chaos functions are defined by a nonlinear function and the nonlinear multidimensional functions are stored inside a library 10. In the selection of decision algorithm in the chaos functions stored in the library 10, by extending a key space, stability is provided. The result value 3 of the nonlinear multidimensional function selected and repeatedly applied as the decision algorithm from the nonlinear function library 10 is selected and outputted as the random number 4 by being passed through the filter 20. The filter 20 is realized by the nonlinear multidimensional function driven by the system variable of time or the like and a user key, etc., and the random number 4 is safely secured in random number selection.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain automatic transmission of paid broadcast viewing recording, transmission of program guide information distributingly, automatic execution of reserved video recording and notification of a program price. SOLUTION: A program number is sought from a program combination table 21 and a packet number of a receiver control message 28 and the message itself are extracted. Numbers of a public telephone network and a public data network are extracted from the receiver control message, a network information table 24 is sought from a receiver and a packet number of an event information table is sought from a configuration identifier of an event information table 27. An identifier 27A of video reservation recording is inserted in the event information table 27 and video recording is reserved. A program price information identifier 27B is inserted to the event information table 27 so as to deliver the program price information and a caption information identifier 27C is inserted in the event information table 27 to provide caption information before the program is viewed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the pay broadcast system and its method in which the advance payment system and the recording system of viewed contents are used in common in a pay broadcast service using a smart card. SOLUTION: In a subscriber management center 2, a transmitter 3 sends a qualification control message including information by which authentication of a subscriber and two kinds of services are discriminated in a smart card to the smart card 5 of the subscriber to input a personal qualification management message of the subscriber and to select a group supporting the advance payment system or a group supporting the view recording system and generates a group qualification management message and issues the smart card 5. Whether or not the smart card 5 is possessed by the legal subscriber through the decoding of the two kinds of the messages is certified and whether the advance payment group or the view content recording group is adopted is discriminated and a pay program is supplied to the subscriber.
