Abstract: PURPOSE: To operate an operation and management system of a signal relay exchange (SMX-1) efficiently. CONSTITUTION: A target system 215 has a subordinate structure of a duplicate signal message processing module (SMHM) 213 and a signal network management, test and maintenance module (SNGTMM) 214. The modules are connected to a highway 211 of a high speed interconnection network via an HIFU(Highway Interface Function Unit) interface mode 212 to send/receive a message. A demon process and a temporary process are in existence in the operating management system 202. Thus, input/output windows for the operating management system are classified roughly into four kinds of process sets 203-206 functionally.
