Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed length packet switching device using a multiplexer and a demultiplexer provided with the structure of an output buffer type and provided with a flow control structure mutually between them so as to protect the switching device from temporary overflow generation at an output terminal and improve the entire performance. SOLUTION: An IPDU 31 is an input port driving unit and an SIDU 32 is a switch input demultiplexer unit. An SOMU 33 inputs respective packets routed through the respectively fully interconnected input links of the SIDU, gathers them to an output buffer and multiplexes the gathered packets so as to be outputted as a packet flow.
