Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission apparatus capable of efficiently transmitting a publication image. SOLUTION: The image transmission apparatus comprises a signal conversion means for converting analog publication image data output from an external unit into digital data, a scaling means for enlarging or contracting the publication image data output from the conversion means, a filtering scaling means for enlarging or contracting material image data output from another external unit by filtering a noise of the image data, a means for extracting a difference of both image data output from the scaling means and the filtering scaling means, a means for generating a binary image for the extracted image data, a filtering means for acquiring an area corresponding to an image of a presenter from the binary image, a means for compression encoding the acquired image data, and a means for outputting the compression encoded image data of the presenter and the material image data output from the another external unit to a communication network.
