Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sorting device which is capable of improving throughput of the whole of the device, a carrier device constituting the sorting device and a tray improving holding force of an article to be placed, without increasing carrier speed of a process to be time constraint factors of a series of devices. SOLUTION: These devices are provided with a plurality of subconveyors 8, 8 for placing fruits 7 on trays 60 by labor of workers 5, a main conveyor 1 which is faster than the subconveyors 8, 8 in carrier speed and is arranged at a proper distance from the terminations of the subconveyors 8, 8 and in which a discriminating part 2 and a sorting part 3 are installed, and conveyors 9, 9 for acceleration which are interposed between the subconveyors 8, 8 and the main conveyor 1, accelerates the trays 60 and fruits 7 transferred from the subconveyors 8, 8, imparts them to the main conveyor 1 and are the same number as number of the subconveyors 8, 8. Further, the trays 60 are made to have constitutions that fruits 7 to be placed are adsorbed and held by reducing pressure by a vacuum pump 10.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately detect defect of small area, e.g. about one pixel. SOLUTION: This measuring apparatus is provided with a CCD camera 42 which senses an object to be measured and outputs image information for measurement, and an image processing means 100 which processes the image information of the CCD camera 42 and estimates the object to be measured. The image processing means 100 executes emphasis process which emphasizes the difference of luminance information of each picture element from its peripheral elements of the image information of the CCD camera 42. On the basis of the luminance information after the process, imperfect picture elements are extracted with a set threshold value. On the basis of the number of picture elements extracted as imperfect portions, the object to be measured is estimated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flaw detecting apparatus by which a flaw can be detected with high accuracy on the basis of an image obtained by imaging an object, to be detected, even when the luminance of the image is uneven. SOLUTION: In an image extraction part 7, a given image is binarized, the contour of an object S to be detected is specified, the image of the object S is extracted from an image, which is not yet binarized, inside a frame memory 6, and the image is given to a detection part 8. In the detection part 8, the size of the image of the object S to be detected is normalized, it is then divided into prescribed blocks, and a corresponding threshold group is read out from a threshold table 9. In the detection part 8, a plurality of image signals which are contained respectively in the respective blocks in the image of the object S are binarized by corresponding thresholds inside the threshold group which is read out from the threshold table 9. On the basis of the obtained binarized image, whether a flaw exists or not is detected. When the flaw exists, its size or the like is detected, and its result is given to a memory 10 so as to be stored there.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain, by a simple control constitution, proper image information on an object, to be imaged, whose light and shade difference is large according to a position by a method wherein a CCD camera repeatedly images the object to be imaged and analog image information is output to a quantization means in every imaging operation. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular seedling-raising tray 1 is placed on a belt conveyor 2 so as to sequentially pass a crop recognition position A, a defective-seedling removal position B and a supplementary planting position C. A color CCD camera S is installed in the position A, and a crop recognition part 3 which supplies a control signal to the camera S and which image-processes image information by the camera S is constituted inside a control device H which makes use of a microcomputer. Then, an image signal which has been imaged repeatedly by the camera S is converted into digital image information in every pixel by an A/D conversion circuit for the crop recognition part 3, and the value of every pixel is changed from a small value to a large value by an image-information-value change means in every imaging operation. Then, it is judged whether the value of an output pixel is proper or not, and the value of the pixel which has been judged to be proper is stored in an image-information storage means.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate accurately keloid-like marks and other black spots and white spots on a surface to be separated of a foot or the like by generating halation on the surface of a matter to be separated by the light projected from a projector toward a matter to be separated, taking a photograph of the matter to be separated generating the halation by an image pickup camera and sensing whether gloss lowering sections are or not on the surface of the matter to be separated. SOLUTION: While keeping the mutual position relation between an image pickup camera 2 and a projector 3 so that regular reflection light is from the projector 3 emitted on the surface of a matter 1 to be separated such as a fruit is transmitted into the image pickup camera 2, the projector 3 is moved in the arc shape along an outer encorder of the matter 1 to be separated, and the matter 1 to be separated is photographed by the image pickup camera 2. An image in the state of generating halation is formed on the sections on which no keloid-like marks and other black and white spots are formed, while a normal image is formed on the sections on which marks are formed, and the keloid-like marks and other black and white spots are discriminated by collecting the difference of luminance of the images to separate the matter 1 to be separated.
