A method for processing a signal at a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes steps of receiving information on multiple first threshold values for a neighbor cell measurement from a serving cell; measuring the signal from the signal of the serving cell; comparing the measured signal with the multiple first threshold values and multiple second threshold values of a cell enhancement (CE) mode; and performing the neighbor cell measurement for a cell reselection or a change of the CE mode according to a result of comparing.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting an uplink indication for extended discontinuous reception (eDRX) in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) detects that an event related to eDRX occurs, and transmits an uplink indication related to eDRX to a network. When the event related to eDRX is that an eDRX timer expires or an eDRX command indicating stop of eDRX is received, the uplink indication may indicate stop of eDRX. When the event related to eDRX is that no uplink data is to be transmitted, the uplink indication may indicate start of eDRX.

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for performing a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation in a wireless communication system. According to an aspect of the present invention, the method comprising: receiving information on an extended DRX cycle; and calculating a start frame offset for monitoring one or more paging occasions based on the extended DRX cycle and an identity of the UE.

The method includes steps of suspending a connection with the network; selecting one of a first connection procedure or a second connection procedure based on a cause value of a connection provided from a higher layer; and performing the selected connection procedure, wherein the cause value of the connection is determined according to a type of data to be transmitted.

A method and apparatus for operating at a cell not supporting an extended discontinuous reception (eDRX) in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) verifies whether or not a serving cell supports eDRX. If it is determined that the serving cell does not support eDRX, the UE may trigger a tracking area update (TAU). Further, the UE may applying normal DRX cycle at the serving cell and not performing eDRX for a paging reception.

The method for setting up a bearer by a base station (BS) in a wireless communication system supporting dual connectivity, includes requesting, by a first BS, a second BS to set up one or more bearers, receiving, by the first BS, a second bearer list of one or more bearers that can be set by the BS and tunnel end point identifiers (TEIDs) of the bearers included in the second bearer list from the second BS, and transmitting, by the first BS, the second bearer list and the TEIDs of the bearers included in the second bearer list to a mobility management entity (MME).

The one disclosure of the present specification proposes a method for managing session. The method may be performed by a session management function, SMF, node and comprise: generating a packet data unit, PDU, session for a user equipment, UE; receiving, from an access and mobility management function, AMF, node, information about the UE; and determining, based on the information, whether to transmit an indication for notifying a user plane function, UPF, node to discard a downlink data for the PDU session of the UE. The determination may be dependent on whether the PDU session corresponds to a first service provided to the UE.

A registration method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The registration method includes transmitting a registration request message to an access and mobility management function (AMF), wherein the registration request message includes requested network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) including single (S)-NSSAI corresponding to a network slice to which the UE intends to register with; and receiving, from the AMF, a registration accept message as a response to the registration request message, wherein if at least one of the S-NSSAI included in the requested NSSAI is rejected by the AMF, the registration accept message includes the rejected S-NSSAI and a reason for refusal for the rejected S-NSSAI.
