Abstract:
A method and apparatus for multicast and broadcast service in a wireless communication system is provided. A CU-UP of a RAN node receives, from a CU-CP of the RAN node, a first message to join a multicast group for a MB service. A CU-UP of a RAN node performs the MLD and/or IGMP Join procedure for the MB service indicated by the identity for the MB service along with an MB-UPF based on the LL MC address. A CU-UP of a RAN node transmits, to the CU-CP of the RAN node, a second message including a Join Complete Indication informing that joining the multicast group for the MB service is completed.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for supporting a DAPS handover procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A target BS receives, from a source BS, a first message for a dual active protocol stack (DAPS) handover of a wireless device. A target BS transmits, to the source BS, a second message to inform that the DAPS handover is accepted. A target BS receives, from the wireless device, a third message including an information that the wireless device does not perform the DAPS handover. A target BS transmits, to the source BS, a fourth message including the information received from the wireless device.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for resource handling for new radio (NR) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) based on split of central unit (CU) and distributed unit (DU) is provided. A dedicated signaling based resource allocation and a broadcast signaling based resource allocation can be provided. A gNB-CU and/or gNB-DU allocates a V2X resource based on a type of the wireless device.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for supporting a link congestion detection in a in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network is provided. An IAB-donor-central unit (CU) performs downlink (DL) transmission, receives information about a problem on a backhaul (BH)-radio link control (RLC) channel between a first IAB-node and a second IAB-node, and stop/reduces the DL transmission to the second IAB-node via the BH-RLC channel between the first IAB-node and the second IAB-node based on the information. The IAB-donor-CU may select a path towards the second IAB-node other than the BH-RLC channel between the first IAB-node and the second IAB-node, and perform DL transmission towards the second IAB-node via the selected path.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for enhancing a gNB distributed unit (DU) change procedure to manage radio resource allocation in a wireless communication system is provided. A gNB central unit (gNB-CU), which performs an inter-gNB-DU mobility, receives, from a source gNB-DU, information on a radio link control (RLC) protocol data unit (PDU), which is to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE) at the source gNB-DU but undelivered, and transmits, to a target gNB-DU, the information on the RLC PDU. The gNB CU transmits, to the target gNB-DU, a PDCP PDU based on the information on the RLC PDU, after receiving the information on the RLC PDU.
Abstract:
Provided are a method of performing a RAN based paging a device supporting the method. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for performing a RAN based paging in a wireless communication system includes: receiving a message, which includes paging related information and information indicating that a user equipment (UE) enters a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state, from a master node (MN); receiving a downlink (DL) data from a core network; and performing the RAN based paging for the UE by using the paging related information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a handover procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A source eNodeB (eNB) of the handover procedure transmits a handover request message including a user equipment (UE) context of a master UE and a UE context of a companion UE from a source eNB. A target eNB identifies relationship between the master UE and the companion UE according to the handover request message including the UE contexts of the master UE and the companion UE.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for performing a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation in a wireless communication system. According to an aspect of the present invention, the method comprising: receiving information on an extended DRX cycle; and calculating a start frame offset for monitoring one or more paging occasions based on the extended DRX cycle and an identity of the UE.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for handling duplicated evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) radio access bearers (E-RABs) for dual connectivity in a wireless communication system is provided. A mobility management entity (MME) receives an E-RAB modification indication message including several E-RAB identifiers (IDs) set to the same value, and triggers a user equipment (UE) context release procedure with a cause value.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing access control and/or membership verification for dual connectivity in a wireless communication system is provided. A first evolved NodeB (eNB) transmits a closed subscriber group (CSG) membership status of a user equipment (UE) to a second eNB, which is a home eNB (HeNB), and receives at least one of a CSG identifier (ID) or a cell access mode of the second eNB from the second eNB. A mobility management entity (MME) may verify the CSG membership status of the UE and transmit the verified CSG membership status of the UE to the first eNB. And then, the first eNB transmits the verified CSG membership status of the UE to the second eNB.
