A mobile terminal includes: a display unit for outputting an image and receiving a touch input; a virtual home key unit overlapped with a specific region of the display unit, and for generating a control command for executing a specific function; and a controller for forming the control command, wherein the virtual home key unit includes: a vibration output unit for outputting vibrations of a specific pattern based on a touch input applied to the specific region and a peripheral region; and a pressure sensor disposed between the vibration output unit and the display unit, and for sensing a touch pressure, and wherein the controller executes the specific function when the touch pressure is sensed.

The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a method of controlling therefor. The mobile terminal includes a touch screen configured to display information on a screen having a circular form, and a controller configured to control two or more touch keys displayed on a border of the screen, each touch key to correspond to at least one or more characters different from each other, and in response to receiving a first touch input on at least one touch key, the controller configured to control an operation corresponding to at least one or more characters corresponding to the at least one touch key. A user can easily input a character and watch a currently used screen at a glance at the same time in a manner of displaying each of the touch keys of a keypad along with the border of the touch screen of the circle form in a size capable of being easily touched by the user.

The present invention relates to a mobile terminal which can detect the operation states of a plurality of other devices, and a method for controlling the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal comprises: a display unit; a transceiver for receiving information regarding the operation state of each of a plurality of devices and transmitting information regarding the current operation state to at least one of the plurality of devices; and a control unit for carrying out control related to an occurred event when an event occurs, wherein the control unit determines the availability state of the terminal, and transmits, using a wireless communication unit, information related to the event to another terminal in order to enable the information regarding the occurred event to be outputted by another terminal in accordance with the result of the determination, or outputs the information related to the event through an output unit.
