    Abstract: Disclosed are a mobile terminal(100) capable of controlling a head mounted display (HMD) and a controlling method thereof. The mobile terminal(100) includes: a sensor(140); a communication unit(110) capable of communicating with a head mounted display(200) configured to display a virtual reality screen; and a controller(180) capable of: controlling the head mounted display(200) to display the virtual reality screen including first content; and when a preset gesture input corresponding to a user's head or pupil movement is detected via the sensor(140) or a sensor(240) of the head mounted display(200), controlling the head mounted display(200) to display locked second content on the virtual reality screen while a worn state of the head mounted display(200) is maintained.
