Abstract: The present invention relates to a liquid crystal device to which a line on glass structure and a cascade structure are both applied and a manufacturing method thereof. The liquid crystal device includes: a liquid crystal panel (200) including a plurality of pixels defined by gate lines and data lines that cross each other, wherein a first group of signal lines is formed on the liquid crystal panel in an on-glass-configuration; a plurality of tape carrier packages (220, 210) mounted with source drivers that provide data signals through the data lines to the liquid crystal panel and mounted on the liquid crystal panel in a cascade structure, wherein a second group of signal lines connected to the first group of signal lines is formed thereon; and a printed circuit board (230) combined directly with only one of the plurality of tape cater packages so as to supply a plurality of driving signals and control signals to the liquid crystal panel.
