Provided are systems and methods that allow a user to capture images at low- and high-level magnification and then overlay the high-level magnification images on the low-level magnification image to ease review of the images. The high-level magnification images may be overlaid on the low-level magnification image based at least in part on the portion of the low-level magnification image from which the high-level image was originated.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for autofocus using artificial intelligence include (i) capturing a plurality of monochrome images over a nominal focus range, (ii) identifying one or more connected components within each monochrome image, (iii) sorting the identified connected components based on a number of pixels associated with each connected component, (iv) generating a focus quality estimate of at least a portion of the sorted connected components using a machine learning module, and (iv) calculating a target focus position based on the focus quality estimate of the evaluated connected components. The calculated target focus position can be used to perform cell counting using artificial intelligence, such as by (i) generating a seed likelihood image and a whole cell likelihood image based on output- a convolutional neural network and (ii) generating a mask indicative quantity and/or pixel locations of objects based on the seed likelihood image.
Abstract:
Apparatuses, systems and methods for generating color video with a monochrome sensor include the acts of (i) selectively energizing each of a plurality of light sources in a sequence, (ii) capturing a monochrome image of the illuminated sample at a monochrome sensor at each stage of the sequence, and (iii) generating a color video from the monochrome images. The sequence can have a series of stages with each stage of the sequence corresponding to activation of a different wavelength of light from the light sources to illuminate a sample. Generating the monochrome video can include the acts of compiling a plurality of monochrome images captured at the monochrome sensor with a single light source into a series of monochrome video frames comprising the monochrome video.
