Abstract: The freezer has at least two adjacent chambers (1,2) with common insulation (3) or with individual insulation, where the interiors of the individual chambers are connected together by at least one cold gas connection (6). The cold gas connection is arranged in the common insulation or in the external insulation formed by the adjacent individual insulation material. The cold gas connection is a through hole in the adjacent walls (4,5) of the chambers. It has a controllable blocking device (7) or flap.
