    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problem that it becomes increasingly difficult to thermally insulate a waveguide and a resonator so as to be able to independently tune respectively if the dimensions of a device become small, although the miniaturization of the device is necessitated in accordance with requirements for an increase of the band width in a tuning type filer. SOLUTION: The tuning type optical all pass filter 20 is provided with a multilayered waveguide structure which is supported by a substrate 21 consisting of a first layer in which a waveguide optical ring resonator 23 is provided, a second layer as a spacer 24 and a third layer in which a curved waveguide 25 is provided. The curved waveguide 26 is optically coupled with the resonator by two separated optical couplers 27A, 27B penetrating the layer of the spacer 24, and is turned by a first phase shifter 28 for controlling the optical path length of the resonator and a second phase shifter 29 which is operated so as to control coupling strength between the waveguide and the resonator in the waveguide.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide effective white light emission by providing a blue light emitting material having a non-high polymer molecular structure including a structure selected from an imidazole structure having a substituent of at least three pendant side chains, a quinoline structure and a pyrazine structure, and setting the crystal size to a specific value. SOLUTION: An imidazole structure is expressed by formula I, and in the formula, R1 and R2 are the same, and are a phenyl group and a methoxyphenyl group, R3 is different from R1 and R2, and is a phenyl group and a naphthyl group. A quinoline structure is expressed by formula II, and in the formula, R1 is F, Cl, Br atoms, R2 is an H atom, a phenyl group, a methoxyphenyl group and a naphthyl group, and R3 is a phenyl group, a methoxyphenyl group and a naphthyl group. A pyrazine structure is expressed by formula III, and in the formula, R1 and R2 are a cyano group, R3 and R4 are a (t)-butyl phenoxyphenyl group and a methoxyphenyl group. The crystal size of a blue light emitting material layer is set not more than about 1000 Å.
