    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use a voice memory so that the capacity for storing a voice message is increased by expressing the voice message in plural parts, and reducing the reproduced length of an expression part where the voice message is selected. SOLUTION: A telephone answering device 10 is provided with a timer marker module 30 and a selective deletion voice message module 32. The timer marker 30 outputs time marker signals at a prescribed time interval and converts the signal into an audible signal outputted by a speaker 28 connected to a recording/reproducing module 18 and/or a visual signal displayed by a marker display 34. The timer marker 30 divides a voice message into marked package. The selective deletion voice message module 32 can be activate by a user by appropriately inputting data to a key pad 26 and the prescribed expressed part of the recording voice message can selectively be deleted by the user.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a voice memory to provide an additional capacitance for storing an additional voice message in a voice response device. SOLUTION: The device for generating the voice clip of a voice message is provided with a calling telephone number confirming module for inspecting the voice message to identify a voice clip part including a calling telephone number and with a tagging module for performing tagging in the voice clip part. The voice clip is related to the voice message by the tagging module by including voice clip information in the header of the voice message. The voice message is inspected nearly in real-time when it is received or inspected in off-line after being stored in a voice message memory. Besides, a selection erasure controller can be arranged, by which the voice message is erased while storing the voice clip part to reproduce it afterward.

    Abstract: A voice messaging system such as a telephone answering device which allows automatic identification and tagging of a voice clip portion of a ful l voice message which contains a spoken telephone number (e.g., a call back number). The voice clip may be tagged for later playback separate from playback of the full voice message. The full voice message may be deleted, leaving just the voice clip portion containing the spoken telephone number. The spoken telephone number may be processed through an appropriate voi ce recognition application program to generate textual information regarding th e spoken telephone numbers, which may then be displayed. Call related information such as Caller ID information may be displayed together with the displayed textual voice clip information.     Abstract: A method for transferring a data file retrievable via a communications network, such as the Internet or World Wide Web. A data file desired and selected by a user is electronically transmitted to a third party, referred to herein as the "receiving agent". After receiving the file, the receiving agent stores the file on a transportable medium, such as paper or a computer readable medium, such as a CD-ROM, and transports the transportable medium to the user, e.g., by postal service or courier. In this manner, the user receives the data file he desires by a method other than electronic transmission. In one embodiment, the user is given an opportunity to view a list of user-selected files and to modify and/or confirm delivery of the files before they are downloaded to the receiving agent and/or delivered to the user.
