Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable flexible and efficient subscriber screening with high reliability by transferring more information between an operator service position and a network basic subscriber data base by using intelligent network interface protocol. SOLUTION: Subscriber screening service is provided by the interworking of the intelligent network(IN) of a switch 20 such as a service control point(SCP) 180 and an operator service base station(OSPS) 22. For an operator-assisted call, OSPS 22 informs IN of all screening information once the information needed for the screening is collected and then automatically starts a subscriber screening inquiry. Then SCP 180 makes a screening check by a data base to decide whether or not the call is allowed or rejected and sends an answer to OSPS 22 through IN.
