Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for retransmitting a plurality of error-coding streams that are formed by one information block when an error is detected. SOLUTION: In this method, a plurality of error-coding streams are formed by one information block in a first process. At least, two error-coding streams are transmitted according to a confirmation message after that. In a second process, independent error detection is executed to at least two received error- coding streams. At least, one confirmation message is transmitted to at least one of the received error-coding streams according to the result of independent, executed error detection.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assign a data rate to a plurality of streams of information transmitted from a plurality of transmission apparatuses through a communication channel of a communication system. SOLUTION: This invention provides an assignment method of a data rate wherein a channel characteristic received by each stream is decided by using a correction incorporation limit and respective data rates are selected from a set (MCS) of modulation and encoding processed by a communication channel. That is, the method includes a step of applying a signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) to a code word error probability versus SNR curve to select a particular component of the modulation and encoding set having a particular data rate, a code word error probability, and a data rate to be assigned to a stream. The SNR is obtained by applying an upper limit with respect to the error probability of the stream to a symbol error provability versus SNR curve on the basis of an entire average of symbol groups used for the stream. The method also includes attempting to decode the encoded message using the first portion of the block, determining whether the encoded message was decoded, and providing an indication of a second transmission power in response to determining that the encoded message was decoded.
