Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a message group which can be used for transmitting by using previous messages. SOLUTION: As a message group contains the different number of messages, as a result, the messages from a smaller group can be expressed by using smaller bits than in the messages from a greater group. As the smallest group contains the messages accompanied by the highest possibility to be transmitted, the possibility of using the messages expressed by the smaller number of bits is maximized. The messages from the different groups are transmitted at different power level, and a receiver can determine the message group. As this result, the receiver identifies the messages by using previous messages, the power levels relating to the received messages, and the received message bits.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically save the electric power of a base station by monitoring the potential interference traffic of an adjacent base station and scheduling high-data-speed transmission according to it. SOLUTION: A method for saving the electric power source in a cellular telecommunication system and accordingly increasing the total throughput of the base station is disclosed. Signal intensity received from the adjacent base station is compared to the reference signal intensity. Electrical power is saved by performing scheduling at the time when the intensity of the signal received from a high-data-speed portable machine is lower than the reference signal intensity.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a method that uses transmission power information so as to decide a data rate thereby integrating a voice service and a data service on a same frequency channel in which the available transmission power information indicates an amount of transmission power available for future data transmission on one data channel or more. SOLUTION: A transmitter or a base station transmits an available power message denoting a quantity of available transmission power to a mobile phone for a prescribed future time via a forward link. The mobile phone performs signal-to-interference measurement corresponding to the received forward link and the received interference and decides a data rate supported by the mobile phone by using the signal to interference wave and the available power message. The decided data rate corresponds to a maximum data rate at which a minimum level of quality of service can be achieved at the mobile phone.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to use a semi-Walsh function system which has high repulsion to wiretapping and jamming and enables multiple access and acquisition by transmitting a 1st information set of a user over a communication channel by using a 1st code and transmitting a 2nd information set of the user over the communication channel by using a 2nd code instead of the 1st code. SOLUTION: A diagonal matrix Dk is multiplied from back of a Walsh Hadmard matrix H to obtain the semi-Walsh function system Qk=HDk. An (i)th row is assigned to an (i)th user to enable multiple access over a data channel. Further, the diagonal matrix Dk is obtained each time information bit is sent by using a pseudo-random number generator, so the possibility that this row comes from semi-Walsh system Qk different for every transmit information bit is very high and it seems for an observer who does not know a formula for equal-length conversion that a semi-Walsh function column obtained as a result is random, so wiretapping is difficult.
