SOLUTION: A method or a device traces the history information of calls to telephone sets in an electronic communication network, this telephone set transmits a 1st message to an exchange that can dynamically assign this telephone set to a line card interface, a memory in this exchanges stores sets of 1st information to refer to this telephone set, this exchange transmits a 2nd message consisting of sets of 2nd information to refer to this telephone set to a network node and this network node transmits a 3rd message consisting of sets of 3rd information to refer to this telephone set to this exchange.
