Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the technology for updating the history of calls at a new exchange in the case of using dynamic line assignment by tracing the history of calls of wire-line users. SOLUTION: A method or a device traces the history information of calls to telephone sets in an electronic communication network, this telephone set transmits a 1st message to an exchange that can dynamically assign this telephone set to a line card interface, a memory in this exchanges stores sets of 1st information to refer to this telephone set, this exchange transmits a 2nd message consisting of sets of 2nd information to refer to this telephone set to a network node and this network node transmits a 3rd message consisting of sets of 3rd information to refer to this telephone set to this exchange.

Abstract: This invention provides a method and apparatus for associating call data with particular users instead of line ports. This call data includes the last incoming and outgoing calls associated with a particular number. This allows the services such as automatic callback, automatic recall, and customer originated trace to be implemented with dynamic line assignment allowing users to maintain the same level of subscribed services at different locations. For mobile users, automatic callback, automatic recall, and customer originated trace can be implemented at the home mobile switching center as well as roaming mobile switching centers. If the mobile user is roaming, updating the call history of the mobile station at the new mobile switching center allows the mobile user to experience seamless services across a large territory.
