    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase shift keying(PSK) modulator and a modulation method which use a period width window technique. SOLUTION: This demodulator 10 demodulates a PSK communication signal by using a synchronizer 12, a period window detector 20 and a logical device 22. The synchronizer 12 supplies a transition signal for indicating a reference edge of a communication synchronizer. A period window connected to the synchronizer 12 establishes a time period on the basis of a period of the transition signal. The logical device 22 which has input connected to output of the period window detector 20 generates a logical output signal. This demodulator 10 is equipped with a carrier wave boundary detector 34 for turning a message into a frame and minimizing detection of a noise, thus it becomes possible to measure a signal intensity oven a wide dynamic range.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a continuous automation control mechanism for improving inexact prediction caused by nonuniform gain, intermodulation distortion(IMD) performance or temperature response of a low distortion high frequency amplifier and to attain an integrated onboard control mechanism, capable of performing control at the job site during normal operation of the amplifier. SOLUTION: A low distortion amplifier 100 is integrated with an optimization circuit for executing automation control of the amplifier 100. The optimization circuit has an extraction circuit 101 designed so as to extract various signals indicating operations of the amplifier under present operating conditions. A control circuit 200 to use information received from the extracting circuit 101 determines suitable control setting of a main component in the amplifier 100, corresponding to the present operating conditions. The optimization circuit guarantees that the output of the amplifier has a desired signal level, while guaranteeing that the IMD of output is minimized or removed under all the operating conditions.
