Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for reducing the power in an adjacent channel in a radio communication system. SOLUTION: A signal to apply correcting is inputted to an amplifier 16 after being predistorted by a digital predistortion generator 12 for digital application, and corrected equivalently and inversely to an estimate distortion generated by that amplifier 16. The correction and amplified distortion are mutually canceled. As a result, linear converting characteristics are provided for a whole system 10. On such conditions, the power in the adjacent channel is reduced.

Abstract: A low distortion amplifier with an optimization circuit that performs a n automated alignment of the amplifier is provided. The optimization circuit includes an extraction circuit designed to extract various signals indicative of the operation of the amplifier under the current operating conditions. A control circuit using information received from the extraction circuit determines the appropriate control settings for key components of the amplifier for the current operating conditions. The optimization circuit ensures that the amplifier output has a desired signal level while also ensuring that the output has minimum or no intermodulation distortion under all operating conditions.
