    Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent unnecessary current consumption by providing a processing comparison circuit to generate a signal for performing a control, so that a current that flows through the collector-emitter path of a drive transistor that is connected in series with the field coil of an electric generator changes as a function of the rotary speed of the generator. CONSTITUTION: A processing comparison circuit 23 in a field current control circuit 18 of a monitoring circuit conditions the conduction of a current that passes through a drive transistor T, so that the current strength that flows through a field coil in an electrical generator fluctuates according to the rotary speed of the rotor of the electrical generator. Specifically, the processing comparison circuit 23 controls the drive transistor T via a drive circuit 15 so that the drive transistor T can be driven in first and second modes. In this case, the first mode corresponds to a low value for the average peak current of the field coil when the rotary speed of the electrical generator is at a specific value or less, and the second mode corresponds to a high value for the average peak current, when the rotary speed of the electrical generator is at a specific value or more.
