Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pin cushion distortion at the upper and lower ends of a screen surface by providing at least one bending part, whose bending angle is within a prescribed range on a cone part wound on the window part of a horizontal deflection coil, forming a sub-flange part and joining the sub-flange part with a main flange part. SOLUTION: In a horizontal deflection coil 4, magnetic field strength of a cone part 9 wound on the window part of a screen area is reduced to 1/3 or below in an auxiliary flange part 11 and barrel-type magnetic field distribution is sharply weakened by waking a bending angle for 90 to 120 deg.. When the bending angle becomes smaller than 90 deg., the horizontal deflection coil 4 becomes mechanically unstable, and a strong shape with high winding accuracy cannot be obtained because the auxiliary flange part 11 cannot be jointed with a main flange.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a deflection yoke which can sufficiently reduce the raster distortions of higher orders (gull wing) of higher order at the top and bottom of a screen plane without damaging the coil wire on a screen side flange when winding is performed to construct a horizontal deflection coil. CONSTITUTION: A deflection yoke is composed of a horizontal deflection coil 1 wound in a saddle form, a saddle-form vertical deflection coil 2 furnished on the outside of the horizontal deflection coil 1, and a ferrite core 3 furnished on the outside of the vertical deflection coil 2. The screen side cone part 1a of the horizontal deflection coil 1 is wound in the range of winding angle from 1 deg. to 80 deg. with reference to the horizontal axis, in partcular, the wire winding distribution should be such that weighting is laid in the range 18 deg. to 30 deg.. The max. protrusive point 4 in the tube axis direction of the screen side cone part 1a of the horizontal deflection coil 1 is located 30mm apart from the screen side foremost part 3a of the ferrite core 3.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a level of a horizontally deflecting magnetic field leaking from a lead wire by providing an electric field shielding conductive coating on the required lead wire. CONSTITUTION:A pair of horizontally deflecting coils 1, 2 and a pair of vertically deflecting coils 7, 8, of a deflection yoke, are respectively connected to corresponding deflection circuits by lead wires 3, 4 and 9, 10. When electric field shielding conductive coatings 3a, 4a, 9a, 10a are provided on respective insulation coatings of these lead wires 3, 4 and 9, 10, a level of a horizontally deflecting magnetic field leaking from the lead wire is reduced. Thus by a simple method, the horizontally deflecting magnetic field leaking from the lead wire is effectively shielded.
