Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce unnecessary defrosting operation when the ambient air temperature is high by inserting a correction resistor in parallel to an input resistor of defrosting periodic oscillation means of a defrosting controller into contact with a pressure switch for detecting the pressure of a freezing cycle to control the operation of an outdoor blower. CONSTITUTION:When an external air temperature is increased and a space heating ability is also increased, the pressure of a freezing cycle rises up, and a pressure switch 5 is turned OFF to stop an outdoor blower and to lower the heat absorbing amount and the space heating ability, and at the same time, a normally closed contact 5b is opened whereby the resultant resistance value of an input resistor 19 and a correction resistor 20 of oscillation means 18 of a defrosting controller 3 becomes large. Since the defrosting prohibition time is proportional to the product of the resultant resistance value and a capacitor 21, if the resultant resistance value becomes larger, the defrosting prohibiting time is set longer. Even when, regardless of the frosting amounts,the detected temperature of the outdoor heat exchanger is less than the set temperature, the time is elongated until the defrosting operation is started, and the frosting amount and defrosting synchronization are made optimum.

CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner is comprised of a compressor 51, a restarting prevention device 4, a compressor operating device 6, an over-current sensor 7 for sensing an over-current flowing in the compressor 501, a timer device 8 for counting a predetermined time when a prohibition of operation from the restarting prevention device 4 is released and a protection device 9 for receiving a signal of the over-current sensor 7, temporarily interrupting an operation of the compressor 501 during a time counting operation of the timer device 8 and performing an emergency stopping of an entire air conditioner in the case that the timer device 8 is not performing a time counting operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of heating capacity, by a method wherein defrosting is effected without waiting for the arrival of the accumulating time of operation of a compressor at a predetermined value when the frosting speed of an outdoor heat exchanger is quick. CONSTITUTION:A first timer 7 totalizes the operating time of a compressor 1, however, when frosting speed is quick and the temperature of an outdoor heat exchanger has becomes lower than a predetermined value at a time T1' before the accumulating time of the operation of the compressor arrives at a predetermined value, a first temperature detecting circuit 9 outputs an H signal and a second timer 10 accumulates the time of continuation of the H signal. When an accumulated time or (t1+t2) has arrived at the predetermined value at the time point of T2', the second timer 10 outputs the H signal. When an atmospheric temperature is higher than the predetermined value, the second temperature detecting circuit 14 outputs the H signal. When two signals are inputted, an AND circuit 15 outputs the H signal and puts a relay 18 OFF by a driver 17 through an OR circuit 16, therefore, a four-way valve 2 is closed and defrosting is started.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the defrosting operation not required where the outdoor temperature is high by short-circuiting the temperature detection element of a defrosting device at the contact point of a pressure switch which controls the operation of an outdoor blower by detecting the pressure of a refrigerating cycle. CONSTITUTION:The normally-open contact point 5a of a pressure switch controls the operation of an outdoor blower by detecting the pressure in a refrigeration cycle is connected in parallel with the temperature detection element 18 of a comparison means 22 which compares a set temperature of a defrosting control device 3 with a detected temperature. When the outdoor temperature is high, the temperature detection element of defrosting control device is short- circuited to cause the output of defrosting signal not to be outputted and eliminate unnecessary defrosting operation. Further a resistance 23 is for setting a temperature at which defrosting stops, and an IC control circuit 24 is provided with a timer that issues a defrosting prevention time t, and judgment means which issues defrosting signal with judgment of the output of the comparison means 22, and by the signal of the judgment means a relay coil 26 is turned on via a tansistor 25 and opens the contact point 4 to operate defrosting.

SOLUTION: When indoor receiving means 41a, 42a, and 43a receive address setting starting signals from a remote control transmitting means 15a by pushing an auto address start switch 16, indoor transmitting means 21, 22 and 23 start transmitting address setting requiring signals. In this case, the indoor transmitting means 21, 22 and 23 of indoor units, to which communication monitors 31, 32 and 33 output competitive loss signals from the comparison result of priority of the address setting requiring signals, discontinue the transmission of the address setting signals, and carry out transmission again. Moreover, the indoor receiving means 41a, 42a and 43a of the indoor units, to which the competitive loss signals are not output, receive the setting signals from the transmitting means 15a to the address setting requiring signals to set the address.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable smooth operation of an airconditioner by driving forcibly a drain discharge device based on a detection signal of a liquid level detection device for a specified time and halting indoor equipment when said detection signal is not canceled after the lapse of fixed time or the detection signal is output two times and more within a fixed time. CONSTITUTION:A drain discharge device 6 which discharges drain water, an liquid level detection device 5 which detects an amount of drain water in a water pan, and a control device 8 which controls the operation of the drain discharge device and the presence of the detection of the liquid level indication device are installed. The control device 8 drives forcibly the drain discharge device based on the detected signal by the liquid level detection device for a fixed time. When the detection signal from the liquid level detection device is not canceled, the control device carries out processing according to a preset program by means of a first timer 10a, a second time 10b and a third timer 10c which delay the operation of the drain water discharge device 6, and drives a compressor 9 and the drain water discharge device timely. When the liquid level indication signal is not canceled after the lapse of fixed time, the control device judges that it is impossible to drain and halts the operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the confirmation of setting content and to improve the reliability of an air-conditioner by constituting an input device by a state setting key, a display means displaying set state, a count means counting the number of key operation times and varying a key input fetch circuit in response to the display content of the display means. CONSTITUTION:Whether or not a key 1 is depressed is discriminated, and when key is depressed, a key input means 2 reads a setting temperature, an output drive device 4 is operated according to the procedure stored in a ROM in a microcomputer of the controller 3 to drive a load 5. Then a count means 8 in the controller 3 counts the depression of the key 1 to discriminate whether a room temperature setting temperature is 20 deg.C or over or 30 deg.C or below and the count content of the means 8 is cleared when the temperature is within the range. Then numerical information of the setting temperature is inputted to a display drive means 6 to display the setting temperature on the display means 7 and if the range is at the outside of the setting temperature, whether or not the count of the means 8 is twice or not is decided and the display is unchanged till the count reaches twice.

After this operation, when the abnormal state is recovered, the displaying content at the displaying part 7 is diminished.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable an operation of an air conditioner to be smoothly carried out by a method wherein a drain water discharging device is operated for a specified period of time with a detection signal from a liquid surface detection device, and a stop signal generating means for generating the stop signal in such a way as the detection signal is not released after the specified period of time elapses. CONSTITUTION:A controller 8 is provided with timers 10a and 10b for delaying a drain water discharging device 6 within it, wherein a logical calculation is processed in reference to a predetermined program and then a compressor 9 and the drain water discharging device 6 or the like are properly driven. If a liquid surface detector 5 is operated, the drain water discharging device 6 is turned ON, the timer 10b is set. After the timer shows an elapsed setting, the timer 10b is reset and all the outputs from the compressor 9, a fan motor 10 and an actuator of a drain water discharging device 6 are stopped in accordance with a procedure within a controller 8. With such an arrangement as above, as drain water is accumulated in a water pan 4, the drain water discharging device 6 is driven by detection of the liquid surface detector 5 and the drain water is forcedly discharged and at the same time when the detection signal of the liquid surface detector 5 is not released even after a specified period of time elapses, it is judged that the water drain device is in trouble and then a smooth operation of the air conditioner can be performed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the operability by providing a means to vary a display for two or more different periods in response to display contents in display part. CONSTITUTION:When a key 1 is depressed, a set temperature is read in by a key input means. By the set temperature which is read, an output driving device 4 is operated in accordance with the procedure stored in a ROM in a microcomputer, and a load 5 is driven. When a room temperature is set to an optimum range 20-30 deg.C, a counter of 0.5sec is operated by a period generating means 14, and in case of other range, a counter of 1.0sec is operated by a period generating means 15, and a signal of this counter is outputted to a display driving means 7. When the key 1 is depressed continuously, when the room temperature is set to 20-30 deg.C, a display means 8 varies the display contents at every 0.5sec, and when the room temperature is set to other temperature, the display contents are varied at every 1.0sec. When the key 1 is released, the display contents are stopped, and in accordance with the display at the time releasing, the load 5 is driven.
