Abstract: A refrigerator has a refrigerator compartment, a freezer compartment, and a low-temperature storage chamber formed in the refrigerator compartment and having a temperature lower than that of the refrigerator compartment. The refrigerator includes a compressor, a condenser, a first throttling device, a channel control valve, a refrigerator cooling unit, and a freezer cooling unit connected in series to form a refrigerating cycle. The refrigerator cooling unit and the freezer cooling unit are accommodated in the refrigerator compartment and the freezer compartment, respectively. The refrigerator also includes a second throttling device connected in parallel with the refrigerator cooling unit, a first air fan for sending cold air heat-exchanged by the refrigerator cooling unit to the refrigerator compartment, a second air fan for sending cold air heat-exchanged by the freezer cooling unit to the freezer compartment, a suction duct for introducing air inside the refrigerator compartment to the refrigerator cooling unit, a discharge duct for introducing air cooled by the refrigerator cooling unit into the refrigerator compartment and into the low-temperature storage chamber, and an electrically-operated damper accommodated in the discharge damper. When the electrically-operated damper is opened, an amount of air to be introduced into the low-temperature storage chamber is greater than an amount of air to be introduced into the refrigerator compartment.

Abstract: A bottom-freezer refrigerator comprises a generally rectangular box-like refrigerator housing including a top division and a bottom division with an adiabatic partition wall intervening between the top and bottom divisions. The top division has a refrigerator chamber and a crisper chamber both defined therein. The bottom division has a freezer compartment defined therein. The bottom-freezer refrigerator of the structure described above also comprises a first cooler provided in the top division at a location spaced from a rear wall portion of the crisper chamber, a first circulating fan disposed in the vicinity of the first cooler, a second cooler provided in the bottom division, and a second circulating fan disposed in the vicinity of the second cooler. The refrigerator chamber and the crisper chamber are cooled by the first cooler in cooperation with the first circulating fan, whereas the freezer compartment is cooled by the second cooler in cooperation with the second circulating fan.

SOLUTION: A closed loop is formed of a compressor 12, a condenser 2, a passage control means 13, a first pressure reducing means 7, and a first evaporator 3. A second pressure reducing means 8 and a second evaporator 5 are connected so as to become parallel to the first pressure reducing means 7 and the first evaporator 3. Since cooling is performed by alternately switching the two evaporators 3 and 5 by the cooling cycle for arranging the passage control means 13 on the inlet side of the first pressure reducing means V and the second pressure reducing means 8, pipe capacity of a cooling system and the refrigerant quantity can be reduced more than a cooling system for performing cooling by one evaporator and a cooling system for performing cooling by flowing the refrigerant in parallel to a plurality of evaporators. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive the reduction of amount of refrigerant for a cooling system as well as the improvement of efficiency of the cooling system by switching the cooling of a refrigerating chamber and a freezing chamber. SOLUTION: In a refrigerator, a closed loop is formed of a compressor 1, a condenser 2, a first flow passage control means 10, a first capillary 7 and a first evaporator 3 while a second flow passage control means 11, a second capillary 8, a second evaporator 5 and a non-return valve 20 are connected in parallel to a first flow passage control means 10, the first capillary 7 and the first evaporator 3, to switch the flow of refrigerant by the first and second flow passage control means. When the cooling of a freezing chamber 6 is switched into the cooling of the refrigerating chamber 4, the compressor 1 is operated under a condition that both of the first and second flow passage control means are closed for a predetermined period of time and, thereafter, the cooling of the refrigerating chamber 4 is started. According to this method, the refrigerant, stayed in the second evaporator 5, can be purged quickly to the side of the compressor 1 whereby the refrigerating chamber 4 can be cooled efficiently.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cooling efficiency and an ability to keep food fresh by elevating a humidity in a refrigerating chamber of a refrigerator which includes a freezing chamber and the refrigerating chamber. SOLUTION: A freezing refrigerator comprises a cooling system and a plurality of cooler fans A9a and B15 which cool respective rooms, wherein the cooling system is constructed such that one connecting line which connects a freezing chamber evaporator 7a with freezing chamber pressure reducing means and another connecting line which connects a refrigerating chamber evaporator 11, refrigerating chamber pressure reducing means and a closure valve with each other are branched off in parallel and are connected with a suction line, an ability controllable compressor 6a and a condenser 17 in series. Due to such a construction, it becomes possible to supply cool air to each room in a proper amount necessary for cooling the room so that an efficient cooling can be realized by restricting an influence to other rooms. Furthermore, in the refrigerating chamber 3, the ability controllable compressor 6a, the condenser 17, the closure valve and the cooler fan B15 are operated in response to an indoor condition by system control means so that a humidity can be elevated easily.

SOLUTION: There are provided an evaporator temperature sensing means 17 for sensing a temperature of an evaporator 4 and a suction air temperature sensing means 18 for sensing a temperature of a cold air suction port 16. At the time of starting an operation of a compressor 3, only when a temperature signal detected by the evaporator temperature sensing means 17 is higher than a temperature signal detected by the suction air temperature sensing means 18, a cooling control means 9 controls stopping of the refrigerator fan 5 in such a way that the air is not circulated to the freezing chamber 1.
