    Abstract: A refrigerator door (17) includes an outer plate (6); an inner plate (7); a heat-insulating element (18) filling a gap between the outer plate (6) and the inner plate (7); and a gasket (21) provided between an outer housing (2) of a refrigerator main body (1) and a surface of the refrigerator door (17) facing the outer housing (2). The gasket (21) includes a housing engaging portion for sealing a gap between the outer housing (2) of the refrigerator main body (1) and the surface of the refrigerator door (17) facing the outer housing (2) and an anchor (23) for securing the gasket (21) in a groove (22) formed in the refrigerator door (17). The anchor (23) has a pair of fins (24), the fins of the pair projecting in opposite directions from each other, and is secured in the groove (22) by contact of the pair of fins (24) to inner walls of the groove (21) facing each other.

    Abstract: The refrigerator has such effects as excellent cooling accumulation capacity, prevention of dropping of rack and other risk, excellent controllability of rack, and prevention of sudden rise of temperature in the freezing compartment in the event of power failure. The refrigerator comprises a freezing compartment (13) and a refrigerating compartment (14), and a hollow rack (17) filled with cooling accumulation (18) is placed so as to be slidable along the rail unit (16) installed at the side of the freezing compartment (13). The rail unit (16) has a recess (20) in its center, and the rack (17) has a protrusion (19) in the position corresponding to the recess (20), and the recess (20) and protrusion (19) are engaged with each other so that the rack (17) is fixed in the rail unit (16). Moreover, a vegetable compartment (22) is placed in the freezing compartment (13), and a second rail unit (36) of same shape as the rail unit (16) is formed on the side wall on the vegetable compartment (22). In case of power failure, the rack (17) filled with cooling accumulation (18) placed in the freezing compartment (13), can be moved and placed in the rail unit (36) formed on the vegetable compartment (22).

In this way, a compressor 10 continues operation for the fixed time, cooling the inside 4 of a house. Thus placing the stored garbage 5 quickly in a low temperature condition, a bad smell can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To aim at preventing a putrid smell from occurring in restraining a housing door from being opened at a time when the inside is still not yet cooled by keeping a defrost lamp lighted intact till the temperature in an inner box goes down to the specified one even after defrosting is over. CONSTITUTION:In the state that garbage 5 remains entered in a dust housing 6, defrosting is started by a defrost timer 13. Then, a defrost heater 12 and a defrost lamp 14 both are energized with current. When defrosting is over, the defrost heater becomes unenergized, and the defrost lamp 14 is continued to be lighted by a control box 16 till the temperature in the housing inside 4 by a temperature sensor 15 goes down to less than the constant one. After the temperature sensor 15 goes down up to the constant temperature, the defrost lamp 14 is put out. Accordingly, the housing inside 4 is prevented from being opened when the temperature in the housing inside 4 is more than the specified one, so that any putrid smell is prevented from leaking to the outside.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of noise of refrigerant flow from a capillary tube to a connecting pipe and at an inlet portion of a cooler by dividing the connecting pipe which connects the capillary tube with the cooler into a given number of flow passages. SOLUTION: A connecting pipe 8 has its inlet portion 8a connected with a capillary tube 6. The inlet portion 8a is bifurcated into two flow passages which consists of one flow passage 8b having a length Lb and the other flow passage 8c having a length Lc(≠b). These flow passages are combined at an outlet portion 8d which is connected with a cooler. In this manner, the connecting pipe 8 is divided into two flow passages 8b, 8c and their pipe length are made different from each other so that a noise of a sinusoidal wave generated in one flow passage is canceled or offset by generating a sinusoidal wave which differ in phase in the other flow passage. Accordingly, the generation of noise of the refrigerant flow at the portion of the connecting pipe 8 ranging from the capillary tube 6 to the inlet portion of the cooler can be reduced.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain insertion of a gasket into a groove of a door and coming-off prevention of the gasket from the groove by a method wherein a fin is arranged at the central part of an anchor section of the gasket. SOLUTION: A door 17 of a refrigerator is provided with a gasket 21 for use in attracting both a main body 18 of the door formed by an outer plate 6 and an inner plate 7 as well as a foamed material 8 filled between these plates, and an outer box 2 at the main body 1 of the refrigerator by a magnet 20 inserted into a magnet recess 19. The recess having the gasket 21 inserted therein is constituted by an integral-formed groove 22, an anchor section 23 of the gasket 21 inserted into the groove 22 and fins 24 arranged at the central lateral portions of the anchor section 23. Since there are no fins at the extremity end of the anchor section, the gasket 21 can be easily inserted into the groove 22 up to the fins arranged at the central portion when the gasket 21 is inserted into the grove 22, resulting in that a certain strength can be applied to the anchor section 23 and so its subsequent inserting characteristic can be improved. In addition, variation of an inner size of the element can be absorbed by the fins and then the gasket 21 does not come off from the groove.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cooling speed of food and restrict an increasing of temperature of food when a power failure occurs by a method wherein there is provided a specified low temperature chamber defined and formed by a door U-shaped shelf in a refrigeration chamber and coolant is filled in a U-shaped shelf in the specified low temperature chamber. SOLUTION: A door 29 is a door of a specified low temperature chamber 30, a shelf 31 is formed into a U-shape in such a way that it may cover a bottom part and both side surfaces of the specified low temperature chamber 30, a cool storage medium 32 is filled in it and it can be slid in a forward direction. In such a configuration as above, cold air flowed through the first discharging port and the second discharging port and the medium 32 are filled in the specified low temperature chamber 30, thereby the entire area is uniformly cooled without any irregular distribution of temperature by the shelf 31 comprising the bottom part and both side surfaces having a cool storage effect in advance. In this way, even if a large amount of foods are stored in it, the large amount of foods are cooled by cold air discharged to a specified low temperature chamber 30, both side surfaces of the U-shaped shelf 31 filled with cooled medium 32 in advance as well as its bottom surface, so that it is possible to restrict an irregular distribution of temperature at the food.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure gaps between foods and the back surface of a vegetable vessel and permit convection by a method wherein the vegetable vessel, movable forwardly and backwardly while the upper surface thereof is opened, is provided in a lower storage chamber while the vegetable vessel is provided with a lid body, sealing the upper surface of the vessel substantially, and a plurality of projections, provided on the back surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:An upper storage chamber 8 and a lower storage chamber 9, divided by a partitioning plate 10, are arranged in the lower part of a refrigerator main body. A vegetable vessel 18, whose upper surface is opened and which is movable forwardly and backwardly, is provided in the lower storage chamber 9. The upper surface of the vegetable vessel 18 is provided with a lid body 13 so as to seal the vessel 18 substantially. A plurality of projections 19 are formed on the back surface 18a of the vegetable vessel 18 so that gaps can be secured between foods 17 and the vegetable vessel 18. According to this method, the convection of cold air is generated between the foods 17 and the back surface 18a of the vegetable vessel 18 whereby excessive cooling of the foods 17 and the contact of the foods with condensate can be prevented.
