    Abstract: A refrigerator door (17) includes an outer plate (6); an inner plate (7); a heat-insulating element (18) filling a gap between the outer plate (6) and the inner plate (7); and a gasket (21) provided between an outer housing (2) of a refrigerator main body (1) and a surface of the refrigerator door (17) facing the outer housing (2). The gasket (21) includes a housing engaging portion for sealing a gap between the outer housing (2) of the refrigerator main body (1) and the surface of the refrigerator door (17) facing the outer housing (2) and an anchor (23) for securing the gasket (21) in a groove (22) formed in the refrigerator door (17). The anchor (23) has a pair of fins (24), the fins of the pair projecting in opposite directions from each other, and is secured in the groove (22) by contact of the pair of fins (24) to inner walls of the groove (21) facing each other.

    Abstract: The refrigerator has such effects as excellent cooling accumulation capacity, prevention of dropping of rack and other risk, excellent controllability of rack, and prevention of sudden rise of temperature in the freezing compartment in the event of power failure. The refrigerator comprises a freezing compartment (13) and a refrigerating compartment (14), and a hollow rack (17) filled with cooling accumulation (18) is placed so as to be slidable along the rail unit (16) installed at the side of the freezing compartment (13). The rail unit (16) has a recess (20) in its center, and the rack (17) has a protrusion (19) in the position corresponding to the recess (20), and the recess (20) and protrusion (19) are engaged with each other so that the rack (17) is fixed in the rail unit (16). Moreover, a vegetable compartment (22) is placed in the freezing compartment (13), and a second rail unit (36) of same shape as the rail unit (16) is formed on the side wall on the vegetable compartment (22). In case of power failure, the rack (17) filled with cooling accumulation (18) placed in the freezing compartment (13), can be moved and placed in the rail unit (36) formed on the vegetable compartment (22).

    Abstract: A refrigerator which is designed to suppress drying and oxidation to create an improved storage environment therein for food and which has increased volumetric efficiency and increased cooling efficiency. A cold storage chamber, a vegetable chamber and a freezing chamber are arranged in the refrigerator in the order mentioned as viewed from top. The freezing chamber has cold air introduced thereinto from a first cooler and a first blower and the cold storage chamber has cold air introduced thereinto from a second cooler and a second blower, so that both chambers function directly as cooling chambers. The vegetable chamber is provided at its top with a thermally conductive cooling plate which is cooled by the action of forced convection caused by the second cooler and second blower so as to radiate low temperature within the chamber, so that it functions as an indirect cooling chamber which is cooled by natural convection effect. Therefore, the refrigerator has high preservation performance, exerting quality retention effects corresponding to the storage suitabilities of foods.

SOLUTION: There are arranged a first gasket 135 provided on the rear periphery of doors 107 and 108 of a double door type and a pair of second gaskets 134 which is mounted on the side facing the non-pivoted side being partially sealed on the first gasket so as to be rotatable with rotating shafts 127 and 128 of holding members 129 and 130. Latch parts 125 and 126 of the holding members 129 and 130 are kept in contact with a protrusion 110 on the side of a thermally insulated box body 104 to operate the second gaskets 134. This allows close contact between the thermally insulated box body 104 and the doors 107 and 108 and between the doors 107 and 108 accurately or the releasing of the contact with a simple structure.

It is possible to improve a storing characteristic for food such as vegetable under a condition in which the inner side of the vegetable chamber 14 is applied as a temperature environment showing less unevenness in temperature of a high humidity environment showing no excessive state.
