    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve far infrared ray radiation efficiency by forming a reflecting layer such as deposited aluminum between an electrically insulated tube and far infrared ray radiating paint. CONSTITUTION:Far infrared ray radiating paint 12 mainly containing silicon carbide, etc., coated on the outer peripheral wall of an electrically insulated cap 10 for holding and fixing a lead line 9 for supplying electric power to a resistor heating element 8 such as iron chrome and an electrically insulated tube 11 such as a quarts tube heated by the resistor heating element 8 is formed while a reflecting layer 13 such as aluminum deposited is formed between the electrically insulated tube 11 and the far infrared ray radiating paint 12. Thus far infrared rays of internal radiation of the electrically insulated tube 11 radiat ed from the far infrared ray radiating paint 12 is reflected by the reflecting body formed between the electrically insulated tube 11 and the far infrared ray radiating paint 12 to be utilized in externally radiated far infrared rays thereby enabling efficient utilization.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain an excellent deodorization effect on dimethyl sulfide by incorporating β type zeolite into a deodorant. SOLUTION: A deodorizing device comprises a nichrome wire 1 as a heating element and a catalyst coating layer 3 contg. the β type zeolite formed on the surface of this heating element. As a result, the air contg. malodorous components comes into contact with the catalyst coating layer 3 and absorbs the malodorous materials in the β type zeolite of the catalyst layer 3 when the nichrome wire 1 does not generate heat. The precious metal in the catalyst layer 3 is heated to its activation temp. and the malodorous components adsorbed thus far in the β type zeolite is made odorless and are released into the atmosphere when the nichrome wire generates heat. Simultaneously, the adsorption capability of the β type zeolite is regenerated. The β type zeolite has the excellent adsorbability to the dimethyl sulfide and, therefore, the βtype zeolite is capable of exhibiting the excellent deodorization effect on the dimethyl sulfide.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectually adsorb, decompose, and deodrize all odor components by covering a heat production part of a glass pipe or a metal pipe heater with a catalyst layer having a specific composition. SOLUTION: This deodorizing heater 33 having a catalyst covering layer 37 on an effective heat production part surface of a glass pipe heater 36 is disposed below a condenser of a refrigerator. The catalyst covering layer 37 is constructed by forming a metal oxide or copper oxide such as manganese dioxide, a perovskite type metal oxide, hexaaluminate, a catalyst material such as alumina carrying platinum metal, and an adsorbent such as zeolite using a coupler such as aluminum hydroxide, alumina zol, and silica gel. In a cooling operation, air containing odor components passing through the inside of a condenser chamber touches the deodrizing heater 33 to permit the odor components to be adsorbed into the catalyst covering layer 37 and be removed. The construction is simple, an instlalation space is reduced, and all odor components including neutral odor components such as acetaldehyde are effectually adsorbed, decomposed, and deodrized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit the utilization of radiation heat, radiated linearly, for the defrosting of an evaporator for a refrigerating device by a method wherein a heater protecting cover, arranged between the evaporator for the refrigerating device and a radiation heater, is formed so as to be a net type cover having heat resistant property. CONSTITUTION:A radiation heater 9 generates radiation heat 10 and heat 11 transferred by convection by the heat generation of an electric heating wire 12. The radiation heat 10 and the convection heat 11, generated by the heater 9, pass through the mesh of a heater protecting cover 17 and defrost an evaporator 16 for refrigerating device arranged above the protecting cover. In this case, the heater protecting cover 17 protects a glass tube 13, equipped on the radiation heater 9, from breakage due to the direct impact of frost, dropped from the evaporator 16 for the refrigerating device. On the other hand, water, generated by defrosting, is dispersed by the impact of dropping on the heater protecting cover 17, formed so as to have the shape of net, whereby the water will never impact the glass tube 13 directly thereby preventing the sound of evaporation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To extend the recovery time and improve the degree of follow-up to the winding temperature of a motor by providing an auxiliary heater on the low-expansion side of a bimetal element and forming part of an external connecting terminal with a bendable adjusting plate as a stopper minimizing the movement of the bimetal element. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary heater 19 is located on the low expansion side of a bimetal element 16, part of a terminal 20 connected to the auxiliary heater 19 is utilized at the stopper of the bimetal element 16. When the bimetal element 16 is reversed and a circuit is turned off at the time of an abnormality of a motor, the bimetal element 16 approaches the auxiliary heater 19 side and is brought into contact with the adjusting plate 20d of the terminal 20 connected to the auxiliary heater 19, the remaining heat of the auxiliary heater 19 is radiated and transferred to the bimetal element 16, heat is also conducted from the terminal 20. The recovery time of the bimetal element can be made relatively long, the change of the heat-sensitive characteristic at the repetition of reversal and recovery can be made small.
