Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable hinges and partition plates to be reliably secured to the title casing by providing an insulating material on the contact part of a heat radiating pipe with an outer case or with a reinforcing plate in the vicinity of the reinforcing plate, and by fixing the reinforcing plate to the outer case by spot welding. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing plate 19 is welded and secured to the uncoated side of an outer case 2 made of a coated steel sheet by a one-side spot welding method and, further, an insulating material 26 is applied to a heat radiating pipe 17. Since the outer case 2 and the reinforcing plate 19 are secured to each other by electric welding, the outer case 2 is strengthened and, in addition, since the insulating material 26 is used on the contact surface of the heat radiating pipe 17 with the reinforcing plate 19, there will arise no problem such as deterioration in the cooling performance caused by an occurrence that a branched current flows to the heat radiating pipe 17 during welding work and bores holes through the wall of the heat radiating pipe 17.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the lowering of cooling capacity due to the hole generated in a radiation pipe by fixing a reinforcing plate to an outer box by electric welding to make the outer box strong and preventing the generation of a shunt current between the reinforcing plate and the radiation pipe at the time of welding work by an insulating material. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing plate 10 is bent into an almost horizontal U-shape and fixed by electric welding so as to cover the notch 11 formed so as to be continued to a continuation part 5c from a rear flange 5d and brought into contact with the back of the rear flange 5b of an outer box 1. The receiving plates 14a, 14b of a spot tool 14 are positioned on the side of a non-conductive film 7 and the reinforcing plate 10 and the rear flange part 5d are pressed by a positive electrode 14c and a negative electrode 14d and a current is allowed to flow through the electrodes to generate heat and the reinforcing plate 10 is welded and bonded to the rear flange 5d by the generated heat. The generation of a spark (shunt discharge) in the contact surface of a radiation pipe 8 with the reinforcing plate 10 is prevented by an insulating material and the perforation of the radiation pipe 8 is prevented and the film 7 of the outer box 1 is not melted.
