Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide comfortable heating and cooling by preventing the return of liquid to a compressor and superheating caused by the excess or shortage state of a refrigerant being generated from the difference in the amount of required refrigerant of each operation mode of a heat storage type heating- cooling combination appliance, avoiding the risk for damaging the compressor, and at the same time controlling a refrigeration cycle to an optimum state. SOLUTION: One end of a receiver 15 that is provided at a chill storage bath 17 is connected to the inside of a chamber by a main liquid pipe flow control valve 13 via an on/off valve 25, and the other end is connected to a low-pressure gas pipe 12 that is connected to the suction side of the compressor via an on/off valve 26, thus avoiding risk for damaging the compressor and at the same time obtaining comfortable cooling or heating operation with an inexpensive configuration.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen heat storage maintaining time in daytime heat storage utilization heating by increasing a heating heat storage amount in winter. SOLUTION: A heat storage air conditioner is adapted such than an electrical heating apparatus 21 is disposed on a heat storage tank 3 for heating a heat storage member 4, and the heat storage member 4 is heated by heat radiation of a heat storage heat exchanger 15 upon heating heat storage in the night in winter, and simultaneously the heat storage member 4 is heated with the electrical heating apparatus 21 above condensation temperature of the heat storage heat exchanger 15. Thus, a heating heat storage amount is increased and hence heating heat storage amount useable in daytime heat storage utilization heating is increased, and hence sufficient heating capability is ensured by lengthening heat storage maintaining time.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, capable of transferring refrigerant in an outdoor unit to the side of a connecting pipeline and an indoor unit through simple works of opening and closing of a valve and inputting a signal while necessitating no exclusive part for transferring the refrigerant as well as no recovery of refrigerant through troublesome external devices and capable of preventing environmental contamination due to the releasing of the refrigerant in the repairing of the outdoor unit thereof. SOLUTION: Compressors 18, 19 are started through a control device by closing a two-way valve 26 at the side of a liquid pipe 16 of an outdoor unit 12 and inputting the signal of refrigerant discharging, then, a four-way valve 23 is switched to the direction of heating to move refrigerant into indoor units 14, 15, the liquid pipe 16 and a gas pipe 17. Thereafter, a two-way valve 27 at the side of the gas pipe 17 of the outdoor unit 12 is closed to repair the outdoor unit 12 under a condition that the refrigerant in the outdoor unit is removed.

CONSTITUTION:The multiroom air conditioner comprises first outdoor motor- driven expansion valve opening control means 24 for deciding the opening of an outdoor motor-driven expansion valve 15 according to the total capacity of a plurality of indoor side heat exchangers 19A, 19B, and second outdoor motor-driven expansion valve opening control means 30 for calculating the opening of the valve 15 according to superheating degree of refrigerant sensed by refrigerant superheating degree sensing means 29 mounted in a suction tube of a capacity variable compressor 12 or a refrigerant outlet tube of an outdoor side heat exchanger 14 of a room heating cycle. The valve 14 is controlled while switching the both according to the magnitude of the refrigerant superheating degree.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform rapid adaptation to a rapid transient load change by a method wherein from a target opening based on a room temperature deviation and a target opening based on the degree of supercooling, fuzzy inference of an optimum opening is effected and based on the inference result, an opening is decided to control a motor- operated expansion valve on the indoor side. CONSTITUTION:From a deviation between an ordinary temperature and a set temperature, a first target opening is computed by a first target opening computing means 22 and the degree of supercooling of a refrigerant in a piping part running between heat-exchangers 21 (21a-21c) on the indoor side and motor-operated expansion valves 17 (17a-17c) on the indoor side is detected. Based on the degree of supercooling, a second target opening is computed by a second target opening computing means 23. From the detected degree of supercooling and the first and second target openings, fuzzy logic computation of an optimum opening is effected by means of a fuzzy inference means 26. Based on the inference result, an opening is decided by an opening deciding means 27. According to the opening, the motor-operated expansion valves 17 on the indoor side are controlled by means of an opening control means 28 but when the degree of supercooling exceeds a given value, an opening is controlled according to a value obtained by subtracting a given opening from the inference result.

CONSTITUTION:High pressure side two-way valves 11a and 11b are opened after a specified period of time in which low pressure side two-way valves 12a and 12b are closed, or the low pressure side two-way valves 12a, 12b are opened after a specified period of time in which the high pressure side two-way valves 11a, 11b are closed and at the same time indoor side expansion valves 8a, 8b and 8c are fully opened in concurrent with closing of the low pressure side two-way valves 12a, 12b and then controlling operation is carried out such that they are fully closed from before the specified period of time in the opened passages of the high pressure two-way valves 11a, 11b to the passage openings to the openings of the high pressure side two-way valves 11a, 11b, or they are fully opened before a specified period of time in the passage closing of the high pressure side two-way valves 11a, 11b, and further they are fully closed from the passage closing of the high pressure side two-way valves 11a, 11b to the passage opening of the low pressure side two-way valves 12a, 12b.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform a proper controlling operation for each of indoor devices by a method wherein an expansion valve for each of the indoor devices thermally turned off is fully closed, one of the first and second solenoid valves connected to a high pressure side is opened and the other connected to a low pressure side is opened. CONSTITUTION:Thermally turned off condition discriminating means 22a to 22d thermally turn off indoor devices in the case that a cooling load and a heating load for indoor area detected by indoor load sensing means 21a to 21d are low. The indoor device controlling means 23a to 23d fully close the expansion valves 7a to 7d for the thermally turned off indoor devices in response to the judgement of each of the thermally turned off discriminating means 22a to 22d. One of the first solenoid valves 12a to 12d or the second solenoid valves 13a to 13d connected to a higher pressure side is closed and the other connected to a lower pressure is opened. With such an arrangement, during the main heating or cooling operation, accumulation of refrigerant within the indoor heat exchanger of the indoor device thermally turned off can be prevented and a capability control for each of the indoor devices can be properly performed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make good use of the outdoor heat exchangers of outdoor apparatuses and make the operation of the compressors economical through restriction on the input thereto by a method wherein a total operation capacity of the compressors is calculated in accordance with the air-conditioning load and by dividing it by the number of the outdoor apparatuses the operating capacity of the respective compressors is made uniform. SOLUTION: Outdoor apparatuses 1A-1C are connected in parallel and to piping consisting of a liquid pipe 31 and a gas pipe 32, which piping is connected to respective indoor apparatuses 2a-2d. A variable speed compressor 11 and a constant speed compressor 12 are connected in parallel and to a four-way valve 13 for diverting the flow of refrigerant, an outdoor heat exchanger 14, an outdoor expansion valve 15, and an accumulator 16. The combination of the variable speed compressor 11 and the constant speed compressor 12 makes continuous operation from 0HP to full capacity possible. After detecting the air-conditioning load on the indoor apparatuses 2a-2d the total operation capacity of the compressors are calculated and by dividing it by the number of the outdoor apparatuses the capacity of the compression operations in each of the outdoor apparatuses is decided and put in operation accordingly. This constitution makes it possible to make good use of the outdoor heat exchangers of the outdoor apparatuses and make the operation of the compressors economical through restriction on the input thereto.
